Hi hun!!! Hope it works the same for me :) I had only lost 5 lbs after the C-section, I was so swollen from all the fluids they had to give me because my blood pressure kept dropping :-( I doubt I'll lose it as fast as you though!!! My metabolism is sooooooo slow

14lbs is good a week in though and congrats Lili on 28lbs off xx

Hello, I can join you now yay

All updated for you ladies..........................can't wait to join you all x

I'm here too! :) Was due 8th June but Freya arrived on 26th May! :)

Sigh.... Z was up most of the night, just didn't want to sleep. Tried everything, cuddles, rocking, singing, burping, changing diapers (one with projectile poop whilst changing it so got EVERYTHING in her surroundings soiled)... Swaddled her at 6:30AM (we were up from 1:30AM until then) and she's still sleeping now, it's 10:30AM... Not sure she's having indigestion? Is she too young for gripewater? Sigh.... I'm tired...

On a good note, I dropped 2 lbs since yesterday!!! I finally can see my ankles again, I'm sure the majority of this 16 lbs weight loss is baby and water. My breasts are HUGE!!! Probably gained another 4 lbs there :)

Can't wait to have all my bump buddies on this thread permanently, with their babes in their arms! Come on babies, don't go over for your mummies!!!

Too late for me hun
Bought 2 pineapples today as apparently they help???

CJ............Infacol is fab for newborns who have wind or colic..........not sure if you have that over there..............it contains simeticone. This is what they advise to parents over here above gripe water................apparently.

poor you CJ and Z, my DD1 was like that, this one i had to wake twice last night/morning! she always sleeps... i'm still waiting for something to change, not trusting it being that easy. you're doing the right thing it will get easier, did she cry much or just not settle?

my boobs are huge too, woke up this morning and my milk has come in, ouch lol

how is the feeding going? im finding it easier today but still hard to get her awake long enough to drink anything much, im already scared of mastitis, my boobs are sore.

emma heard it takes 7 pineapples lol

Oh............................7????? Suppose if i don't go into labour i will suffer from diarrhea then!!!

Not much crying, just not settling and wanting to suckle for comfort, not feed :dohh:

Yeah, it hurts when milk comes in... Talked to a public health nurse who said it's OK to massage the breasts when the milk comes in, to make it more comfortable. I make a fist and use my knuckles from under my arms and under my breasts towards the nipple, it helps so much! The intense pressure/pain only lasted 2 days for me, hope it's the same for you!!!

Thanks Emma, will try to find the equivalent here in Canada

Hi Ladies,

Please add me to the list Emma :) Things are going great with Damien. He's feeding and sleeping well. We had a MW app this morning and he hadn't gained anything since Friday but they used different scales so I'm not too worried. They are coming to weigh him on Sat just to make sure there is nothing going on.

LOL at peojectile poops CJ. I've had a few of those. Gross but I can't help laughing. My legs are still really swollen, I wonder if I'll ever get my ankles back. I'm only 4lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight so I'm quite pleased - that makes a 20lb loss in 12 days.

For those C section ladies...how are your incisions doing? Mine is open slightly at one end and drains every couple of days. It bleeds as well. My MW assures me this is normal so I'm trying not to worry. I'm getting around well and it's not painful any more...a bit uncomfortable maybe.

Hope you are all doing well.

Fi

thanks cj, it can be tiring when they just suckle all the time, i will give mine a dummy when she is full but at night she doesnt need it, she just sleeps... amazing!

i hope it will only last 2 days... feels uncomfy! and the uterus after contractions are actually really bad, is it ok to take ibuprofen?

CJ i want to see more pictures of her please :)

hi can i join u guys? i was in jun ebugs thread was due on 31st may but had my baby girl on 5th june.
i came home today and settling in now.

Here is my birth story (finally!). https://www.babyandbump.com/pregnancy-third-trimester/347121-junebug_cjs-birth-story.html There are 2 more pictures of her there.
Linn, yes, ibuprofen is fine, I'm taking 600mg every 8 hours as part of the post C-section pain management protocol.
I will post photos on FB tonight, DH finally gave me the photos!!!
Fi, my incision pinches when I try to turn from side to side, but no oozing for me. I was warned that may happen and would be normal, just keep an eye on if you develop fevers and chills, may be a sign of infection. Wow, 4 lbs off from pre-pregnancy in 12 days, I'm impressed! That won't be me!

thank you CJ have just had some now. I am getting real bad after pains, ouch ouch ouch!
