Junebugs 2010

I've just noticed a difference from using one of those bottles for the first time believe it or not! No air bubbles in the bottle at all, no teat collapse either, that pissed me off about tommeetippee! A few big burps afterwards and then straight to sleep, so far no spit up or sick either. Fingers crossed! Thanks Emma x

I'm tired too linn, after she was sick like that I could not sleep cos I was scared it would happen again in her basket and she would choke, so I was awake constantly! Tonight will be better :)

Good about the breastfeeding :) Which nappies are you using? I'm glad I got huggies in bulk because pampers leak everywhere with her. I wonder what she weighs now :) Im taking Layla to get weighed on Monday. I know she's heavier.. My arm goes dead feeding her

Emma you'll be here very soon! :flower: :flower:

Lili can I ask do you make her bottles up fresh for each feed? Up untill today I was making up 24 hours worth but HV has said I should make up fresh for each fed & just wondered what others do?

Hi there, just popping in to see how you're doing, I want to be here with you too!!!!! Congrats on getting bf going so well Linn sounds like your babies are all getting into good routines, I hope Nathan is as well behaved!

Mxx

Lili sounds good with the bottles :) yeah the teat collapses on nearly all the bottles!! i expressed some milk last night and took it to play group today, god that was an operation.

i am using both pampers and huggies, prefer the pampers, so far nothing leaked at all. i buy them all on offer with coupons, i keep getting so many!

how much did she last weigh? my dd1 is 24lbs how heavy that seems now, she felt lighter to me when i was still pregnant last week, and the baby weighs like nothing to me. is your oh still off work? i hope i can cope in 2 weeks on my own, will i get any housework done???

Lili so glad you liked the bottles Hun. They are fab arn't they. :sex: tonight AGAIN for me.........impatient now xxxxxx

dont think i could have managed that :haha: best of luck, hope it works!

Jane they all advise you make up each feed fresh now!! It's just not practical though is it?my HV was honest with me and said it's fine to make up 24 hours worth and store it in the fridge, as long as you keep it at the back. She said they changed the guidelines cos people were storing them in the door of the fridge which just isn't cold enough..

I make 6 at a time. I boil the kettle and run the steriliser. Pour the water into the bottles and add the forumla.. Then quick cool under the cold tap or in a jug of water. Once they are cold enough I put them in the fridge and heat when needed. I was using a bottle warmer but it's far too slow so I'll admit I've gone onto the microwave. I shake really well to avoid hotspots. X

Linn she was 6lb 11oz born as u know, then 7lb 1.5oz 13 days later. I'll find out what she is now on Monday. She's outgrown all her Next New Baby size, her legs and arms are too long.. I don't even think she'll fit in the up to 1 month much longer and that goes up to 10lbs doesn't it!! Which size does E fit in?

My OH has started to do little bits of work again, maybe 2-3 hours on some days so he's still here a lot. I'm coping fine with housework but I don't have 2 kids to look after. You'll be okay though, who cares if the house is a little messy on some days!! :)

Emma  bless you! Bet hubby is so happy, he prob wants you to go 10 days over so he gets nookie like this for longer! did you try eating the 7 pineapples? Come on baby D!!!!! Xxxxx

Thanks lili thats what I was thinking but it is nice to hear it from someone else. Now that worry is out of the way I wonder what todays will be....

I feel sorry for all you lovely ladies that have gone over, I was so fed up towards the end & I was induced early. Hopefully today will be the day. xx

Thank you Lili, baby has started to feed all the time now, so not getting anything done... but it will get better.

I already complained on the other thread, I am really upset today OH was soooo mean to me this morning I want to cancel my mothers visit tomorrow.... sorry to post on here I just got noone else :(

This morning I was soooo tired DD woke up and wanted food and I just felt like I couldn't get up to get her any, and I just feel like I won't cope at all and like I just made everybodies life miserable because I wanted another baby!! sorry for complaining!!

Hi there,

Do you mind if I join you?

My little man is 9 days old. He arrived by emergency c-section 6 days before my planned c-section and 2 1/2 weeks early.

He weighed in at 7lb 7oz and is doing very well. He is breastfeeding well and we are looking forward to getting weighed again today to see if he has gained from his 7lb 3oz that he went down to on Day 4!

I would love to get to know some of you and share any worries/joys of mummyhood.

xxx

hi jadey :)

of course you can join, congrats and your little man, how are you finding it?

Will add you Jadey when I get home as can't on iPhone xxx

Linn..........:hugs::hugs: This is day 4/5 for you which is when some women get the dreaded blues. They are horrid and make you feel like crying all day. Just try and remember that you are doing so well, and have 2 amazing daughters, who need you.
Love ya xxxxxxxxxx am always here for you XXXXXXX

Emma I wish it was just that baby blues.. but thats not why I'm crying! I feel so guilty my poor DD... OH has been so nasty with me I don't honestly know what to think about the stuff that he said! Thank you anyway, I shouldn't post this on here, I just feel all alone :(

What is he being nasty about? He should be helping you out and being lovely to you, not being nasty right now!! It will seem worse because you are tired too. Maybe your mum being here will be better cos she can help you out? I posted to you in 3rd tri too. What did E weigh today? Text me if you need me xxxxx

Congratulations Jadey! I had a CS too, 2 weeks early, are you recovering well? Ethan was a fab weight for being a little early :hugs: xx

Don't feel bad about posting on here! We are all in this together when times are good and bad. I hope he sorts himself out Hun xxxxx try and be positive about your mums stay xxxxx
right will stop intruding on this thread xxx

Hi ladies, still having gas problems... Don't know what's going on, I had read this was supposed to be less of a problem with breast fed babies... My doctor suggested bicycling her legs, which seems to work, but it still takes her about 1 hour to settle after a feed.... The breast feeding is going really well! She's gained 8 oz already, at 9 days after birth (7 lbs 1 oz at birth, now 7 lbs 9 oz yesterday at the doctor's). She's already growing out of the newborn clothes we have :)

Now I just wish I could find a way to help with the gas :-(

Thanks Lili you're so kind, we had a bad arguement but it's resolved now.. he went to the pub but thats fine by me. I am still feeling a bit weird, guess the baby blues like emma suggested. I just keep worrying and thinking about stuff, when there is no need!

Baby is still happy and relaxed but she has now started feeding all the time, for hrs sometimes.. she goes to sleep and when i put her down she starts looking for the breast again, spoke to midwife from hospital who said it was perfectly normal. Does Zoelle do that CJ? I don't know how I will look after DD1 if I'm sat on the couch feeding E all day long, hope my night will be longer.

Sorry to hear Zoelle got so much wind, here we got none of that baby doesn't cry unless she has to search for the breast for too long, but otherwise she seems happy. I hope she is putting on weight or not lost too much, I can't eat much as I feel so sick and the little I eat.. doesn't help as I get diarrhea :( Is this going to stop my milk? At the moment it is still flowing but boobs are not full as she is drinking so often, midwife said that was also normal.

Oh and Lili she didn't get weighed as the midwife never showed which is why I rang the hospital, apparently someone forgot to put me in the diary and they are now coming first thing in the morning, same as my mum, perfect timing!
