Junebugs 2010

hi can i join u guys? i was in jun ebugs thread was due on 31st may but had my baby girl on 5th june.
i came home today and settling in now.

OMG is that your little princess, Miraya is lovely ( did you stick with that name? ) im so happy for you love we have been through alot and we both got there in the end :)
Now we can both go through the whole baby club forum side as well :)

when your a bit settled youll have to tell me all about her :)

Congratulations to all the new June mummies! :happydance:

CJ I'm having trouble with wind! It's the only thing that causes her not to settle.. and often after each feed she will do a huge burp and most of the milk will come up with it. I've started with infacol yesterday but haven't noticed a difference yet. You can use gripe water once they are one month old and I will be starting it as soon as she is. I've had a few projectile poos too.. one fired straight at me like a machine gun.  16lbs is a very good loss so far, well done! I was only given a normal amount of fluid but my face still swelled up like a balloon :nope:

Fi my scar is healing nicely now, it has never bled though. Pain wise it is much better too, it just feels a little sensitive. I'm still bleeding heavily though and it is still bright red blood, grrr, I would love it to stop! I am happy though that I have now started to drive again :)

:) xxxx

poor Lili I can't believe how different it is for me this time, I am still bleeding and it's red but it's not heavy at all anymore. Last time it was all different.

And we are finally feeding well now too, my milk came in and she seems to be drinking all right. I wake her up once a night and give her formula as she doesn't wake up enough to breastfeed but otherwise I am feeding her all the time now.

Lili fab for driving again and glad to hear the scar is not hurting so much anymore!
Are you eating better? I am not eating well at all :(

Lili, I think Z is also starting to have some gassy discomfort. She squirms and turns bright red, almost after each feed, and nothing (poo or burp) comes out... I'll get some Ovol (contains Simethicone as per Emma's suggestion) tomorrow when we drive into Toronto for her appointment... LOL for the projectile poos! This morning she peed in the middle of a diaper change and the only thing I had handy to contain the stream were her PJs. :) Ironically, there have been no mishaps yet when Nathan does the diaper changes!

We had a better night last night. Takes her about 30 minutes to settle to sleep after a feed. It's been 4 mornings in a row now where she's slept from 5:30AM-10 or 10:30AM, nice 4.5-5 hour nap for me!!

Lili, so they recommended no driving for you for 3-4 weeks? I'm trying to remember what they told me, it's all a blur...

They didn't say a specific time to start driving again, but some insurance companies won't allow you for up to 6 weeks after a section. Mine said I can drive as soon as I feel ready, won't be going anywhere far yet though.. :)

That is what Layla does too.. face goes bright red and she squirms everywhere. I carry on winding her for ages but nothing else comes out! Hopefully the infacol will start to work for her soon (and the Ovol for Z), but I am going to try the gripe water too and maybe switch to Dr Browns bottles.

Layla wees almost every time her nappy comes off, Huggies disposable changing mats have been great because they soak it all up!

Linn glad the breastfeeding is going well of a day! Layla slept non-stop like that for the first week but she is starting to stay awake more and more now! She gets bigger every time I look at her.. don't like it. Where has my little 6lb baby gone? She's becoming a chunky monkey lol xx

Oh Linn I forgot to say my appetite is NOT back at all! I could literally go all day without eating anything, it's weird! I do hope it comes back soon because it's not nice forcing myself to eat. At least the weight is coming off though!

I've just been pee'd all over.. niiice!

lovely :)

its been only once here so far and she hasn't pood that much yet lol...

i cant even make myself eat much :( trying though as i am also breastfeeding! was hoping yours was back by now!

aaaahh now i just had a baby throw up on me and she still wants more!!

hi I had my little girl 27th May she was due tomorrow 11th June!..all going well so far she didnt feed well as first but is now breastfeeding like a pro!.

congrats JSinclair, I think we also finally got the hang of feeding, the first 2 days were not so great but now it seems to work every time!

Congratulations JSinclair!

Nice Linn! I love being puked on!

yeah it is fab isn't it :haha:

gosh I feel so bad right now, i picked up to this virus at the hospital and it's starting to get to me now!

I love coming on here and Reading all about your babies and how you are a getting on. It's lovely and am very jealous of you all xx
Lili I am a big fan of the Dr Brown bottles, I remember last time they stopped the wind instantly, and I had so many thanks from others who I recommended them to.
I hope all your babies stop being so windy, it must be horrid for them. Xxxxx

Morning Ladies,

Can you add me to the list please. I had Madissyn on 02 June.

How long do your babies sleep for? Mine seems to sleep for about 4 hours after every feed. Last night she slept for 7 hours just getting up for 10 minutes to have a small feed. Is that normal? Were formula feeding as my LO just couldn't get the hang of breastfeeding. The midwife gave her formula in the end. She seems ok on it. Sometimes she takes 1oz sometimes 3. x

I am so jealous of you LO's schedule!

My little guy is eating about 1.5- 2 ozs every 2 hours if he can make it (sometimes its an hour and a half) and only sleeps for 2 hours at a time.

We are starting to suspect colic though bc he screams like he is in pain for 2 or 3 hours at night and periodically through out the day, and doesnt want food or cannot be rocked to sleep.

Can I Join you? I was due on 7th June but had baby Emily on May 29th.

Emma Ive been out today and bought 8 Dr Brown bottles to try like you suggested. I hope they work, last night she had like a ball of trapped wind which just wouldn't come up :nope: She couldn't settle and looked so uncomfy with it, then about 1.5 hours later it came up and so did all her last feed, projectile out of her nose and everything :( so I hope these bottles work! I also got gripe water to try once she's a month old.

Linn hope you feel better soon! How's breastfeeding going?

DramaQueen mine sleeps 3-4 hours during the day between feeds and takes 2-4oz. At night she goes 4-5 hours x x x x

Oh Lili.....................I hope they do work as well! Fingers crossed xxxxxxxxxxxx They are fab because they let air into the bottle so no air goes to baby.

Miss you Lili...............Looking forward to being here xxxx

Thanks Lili, it was better but since I ate dinner I am in agony again, but I guess not eating doesn't help esp since I am breastfeeding which burns extra calories. BF is going well, she feeds much and often but it never hurts and she gets lots of wet nappies so I guess it's all good, she will be weighed tomorrow!

Hope the Dr Brown bottles will work for you and she won't suffer with so much wind anymore, so far we didn't have a problem with that yet, fingers crossed.

I am sooo tired today, baby and I went to sleep at 1 and then got up at 5 til 6 for feeding and new nappie, winding etc and then OH was snoring so I didn't get much sleep anymore, was just staring at the baby all the time, but now I can feel it!!
