KD they did a single stitch for me and took it out 6 days after the CS - I dont have soreness or an infection but he scar tissue is pretty lumpy along the line - they said to massage with nivea creme to help break it down.

I notice that Lili said she had a bath with Layla - how do you do this? Do you just get in with the baby and how long do you stay in for, Nathan loves his baths and I might try this - I'm assuming that I wouldnt put any of my smellies in just use baby bath?

Last night he slept 12 - 5.30am then 7 - 9.30am and then snoozed for a while before I woke him to bath him at 11am

I didn't plan it D, we usually use her baby bath but I was in the bath and she poo'd everywhere so OH cleaned her up and passed her in to me. I had just got in so there wasn't any products in there. I have the water really deep and she loved it! I just held her and she kicked and floated and did the doggie paddle lol. Then we washed her with her baby stuff and OH took her out and put her pjs on while I did my hair etc. I'm gonna do it more often now because it was lovely

That sounds a fab stretch of sleep, hope it continues for you. We are getting 10-11 hours straight every night now, but she won't go to bed before 10pm. So we get 10-8 or 10-9. Last night she slept 10-10.30! She wakes up bloody starving though bless her

I think as she gets older she will move her bedtime forward but for now I'm happy. She has 6oz bottles 5 times during the day and weighs 11lb now. Nearly double her birth weight

We had an ultrasound on her hips due to being breech and everything was perfect!

Has any of Nathans hair fell out yet D? Layla has not lost any, it's just growing and growing and still really dark, but he roots are coming through white!

Long post but not been on in a while, hope everyone else is ok?

Hi Lili, wow at 10-11 hours a night - go Layla, and her weight gain that's fab! Glad her hips are fine too.

Nathan slept last night again 12 - 5am but then took ages to sleep afterwards and wouldnt settle, its because he'd snoozed on his big pillow last night while we were downstairs in the lounge and I had to wake him at 10.30pm to feed and change him before we went upstaris. He is asleep now (just) so I have to work while he is down.

Thanks I will try the bath with him tonight when Paul's home, sounds lovely.

Nathan hasnt lost any of his hair, it is growing lol - I weighed him this morning at home - I got on the scales without him then with him and he weighs exactly one stone!!!! He is 5 weeks tomorrow so that means he will have put on over a pound again last week. I wont take him to get officially weighed until next Monday as the HV said every 2 weeks is better.

He drinks alot - he is mainly on Aptamil formula now - he drinks a 9oz bottle at every feed plus has about 100ml of breast milk that I am pumping every evening. He is having between 30 and 35 oz a day. I worry that it is too much but he wants it and is lean and not getting fat so I figure for now that we need to just feed him when he is hungry. Based on 2.5 times his body weight this is normal I think. But I am really sad about not breastfeeding him longer than 4 weeks, I really miss it even though it was so sore alot of the time. The HV gave me a prescription for some anti-fungal cream for my nipples last week and now they are fine I wonder whether to retry bf. Then I worry about how practical it will be too... All I have been doing since last Tuesday is pumping at night and my supply is going down every day - I was breastfeeding him in bed during the night and his first morning feed after Paul's mum arrived but now he wont suck long enough to get the milk through he is so impatient. I am going to think seriously about this because I feel that to a point I have been pressured to move to formula but also I worry because there is no way I think I could feed him what he needs by exclusive bf..... sorry to go on.

Delilah - I had huge amounts of pain when BF Elsie and then at 4 weeks PP it was discovered I had pretty bad thrush so was given cream to use to clear it up, after a week it was still really bad so was given tablets aswell and all the pain stopped. During those two weeks of medication Elsie had no direct feeds and i expressed every feed for her so she only had bottles for 2 straight weeks, after the two weeks were up I stuck her straight back on the boob and it was amazing she took to it better than she ever had!! and all the pain was gone for me Putting her back on the boob was the best thing I've ever done!! I will admit for the 1st day she was a bit frustrated near the end of each feed as she had to work hard to get the hind milk out and she wasn't used to that and she will still have an odd feed (usually when shes over tired) when she'll scream because shes beging lazy and cant get the hind milk out but its not that bad.
If you feel like you want to give BF a try again I'd say go for it!!
Also theres no harm in BF and FF to top him up if hes a hugry boy!

Mika had her first swim yesterday and she slept through the night. we got home at around 10:40 i fed her and got her sleeper on got her in the bed around 11 and she didnt wake up at all until I made her get up at 640 to get dressed since we have a dr apt today.
Also I get the results of her echo today. They saw 2 holes in her heart and a narrow aorta...

hello all. first chance i have had for a long time to log on, that and no internet onnection.
well we are at the new house. boxes everywhere, stuff going wrong left right and centre and quite a lot of damage for the movers to stuff.
whats new with me.....H is really good all day but come 6pmish is really twisty etc. Im back on AD's which im not happy about but thought would happen. my EPD score was the same as with DD2. the HV even went to the docs for me and dropped the persciption off for me.

forgive me for not reading back but my pay as you go dongle is very very slow. hope you are all coping and i miss you all lots. huge hugs and kisses from me and H xxxxx

My little Mika is doing quite well... She is having a growth spurt so she is getting very very long. She is just now out of newborn onsies, she is still in some newborn sleepers and pants. her hair is growing back, YAY... We are about to go swimming this evening which she loves.

hi Trinity. my Daniel is having a growth spurt too. he has outgrown his newborns and 0-3 months clothes. he is in 3-6 months old clothes now which just fit.but the 6-9 months fit better and freer without being over sized

Hello everyone hope you are well.

Loving being mummy, despite the tiredness and the stress. On top of that we're moving in 4 weeks so have to find time to pack things, needless to say it's going quite slowly!

LO is great had her jabs last week but after a good cry she didn't seem bothered at all!

I always look at this thread and for some reason I thought that I put my little man on here but I guess not. Carter was born June 7, 2010. Just like everyone else, time has flown by. During pregnancy you can't wait to get to double digits. but when LO turned ten weeks I wanted to cry. We def. need some more activity on this thread. So I have a quick question, how do you keep your LO from inching to the side or to the top of the crib? Once he hits a side or the top, he wakes up.
