I assume it's to do with having friends in high places and money. It's wrong, so so wrong but what else could it be?

Friends in high places. They are friends with Rupert Murdoch, who just happens to own most of the media sources in Britain. They are friends with Gordon Brown and other politicians, including one (unnamed) politician who was there when this happened but flew out of Portugal via private yet as soon as the news broke.

I don't know why the refused the drugs tests on the twins..x

Cos they sedated them with medicine that wasnt prescribed to the twins or Maddie, they knew those tests would bring that up

There was a picture on one of those links for medication (I assume) picked up in the apartment/villa, the label showed whatever it was it was prescribed to Mr Healy - Kate's dad. Wish I remembered which site to check what the effects of the meds are.

also why do you think they still put themselves out there, in interviews ect? surely if they were guilty they would just want to be out of the public eye now? How can she sit there like that knowing that she did something, or covered something up..

To keep up appearances, they probably think if they stop it will raise even more suspician, that they're in too deep to give up. They may have even convinced themselves that she was adbucted. Most people think Gerry is the dominant figure in all this, if you watch interviews on YouTube he comes accross as very controlling.

Awful, clearly the same surname would make pharmacists question but Healy would mean a pharmacist wouldnt know.

Because it is all classed as circumstantial. All the things individually would be fine, but it is when you put it together that it throws up a completely different look. I guess part of it is, how can they convict when they have no idea what exactly they did with her body.

Because it was expected at first, and then once you are in you cant suddenly stop because people would say well I would carry on highlighting her being missing forever.

Plus, almost immediately some family members left their jobs and were paid my the find madeline fund to look for her I think at least Kate and one other family member are still paid by the fund. Basically the publicity funds their life style

Am i the only one who finds it amazing Gerry mccann still has a job. I wouldn't let him within 50 miles of me, never mine slicing me open..

You wouldn't be allowed to work in healthcare if you were on the sex offenders register, for whatever reason. So I think that's probably false. They both still have a license to practice according to the GMC.

This thread just caught my eye and I've read quite alot of it. I must say I've found it quite shocking. I didn't pay too much attention to it at the time, I just thought it was terrible of them to leave their children alone and felt sorry for poor maddie. It never occurred to me they had sometime to do with it, I guess I'm just quite naive. But after reading all the evidence no one can really argue with it can they.

I find them both very cold and their behaviour just doesn't seem to be that of two parents who love and miss their daughter, they don't even seem interesed in finding her!!!

I agree that they probably slipped her something then she woke up and banged her head.
