I don't think anyone's wrecking it all she was sting is when people had pairs there views way back in the thread if it's not agreed with then people have jumped on you and made you feel Daft I don't see how that's wrecking a thread we read your tgerioes and don't rubbish them even though we could think your wrong.

I think that's part of the problem to be honest ... those who just believe implicitly that she was abducted don't rubbish other theories logically - or put forward reasons as to why an abduction makes sense, is proved etc.

For those of us who have read extensively about this case (and I'm talking factual stuff like police files etc), it's really frustrating to be met by personal attacks along the lines of how horrible we are for daring to disbelieve the McCanns

I'd love to believe that Madeleine is safe and well in some Spanish farmer's house being looked after by a childless couple ... show me some, any, evidence that points to her even being abducted and I'll happily read it and take it on board.

I did ask someone earlier in the thread, out of genuine interest, why they believed the McCann's are innocent/what they based their opinion on (as obviously ours are largely based on the police files and the other evidence we've heard/read) but they didn't answer. If anyone wants to now I'd be interested to know. Not so I can rubbish it, I was just wondering

Same here. That's what makes me frustrated when people say we jump on them or make them feel stupid because plenty of times have people said 'Have you seen this video?' - not to imply they are stupid, just because they genuinely might not be aware of other things going on that could make them think differently.

I've said time & time again how I came on here pro-McCann & all 'how you can be so uncaring?' but I was totally oblivious to a lot of things!

Yep exactly.

Let's not forget, the majority of people I'd say believe Madeleine was abducted & the McCanns are going through the worst pain imaginable. It's got to look good for David Cameron to be seen to be doing everything he can on such a well known international case....

I have another question about what Gerry said in a CNN interview:

During the CNN interview, the McCanns were asked why they had not hired a nanny to look after their three children while they went out for dinner with friends.

Mr McCann replied: ‘It’s not a question of money. Child abduction is so rare. It didn’t enter our head.’

I'm sorry, but I don't understand..... It's not just about child abduction is it? It's about the child(ren) wandering off - either sleepwalking, or trying to find their mummies/daddies. It's about the child(ren) having any form of accident themselves - falling out of bed, choking in their sleep and generally needing a parent/carer.

Kate & Gerry may or may not be guilty of murder/abduction etc, but they are DEFINATELY guilty of at least neglect in my opinion.

THAT is the worst part aswell, really shocking.

They declined to use it because they didn't want "strangers" looking after their children. The same "strangers" looked after the children for 5 hours a day in the crèche.

I don't think anyone is intentionally trying to "shoot" other people down. I really don't want this thread to close as it's the most involved I've been in a discussion on BnB since joining! And everyone's been so mature and though it's an incredibly sad subject I find what all of you girls have found out fascinating. Now I even have the book! That being said I'm getting annoyed whilst reading it But I'll power through.

Also, currently I'm reading how Kate apparently went out with Gerry and searched the next day.

How did they barely leave the resort when they were on the beach almost daily and eating tea out at the beach cafe and also out the night before at some other place
