Kate McCann releasing a book...

i used the think floralora said, it's scanning my comp now!

It may be that the virus has only been added there recently..its a high profile website with the book release and these virus people go for sites they are going to get many hits..so it could have been there a hour, a day, a week..no way of telling! Theres defo a trojan on that link though. Have checked from here with 3 computers..all three went off, with 2 different virus protection systems..

I think it is such a shame that the girl went missing. I also beleive that it is highly unlikely that she will be found, and that she is most probably dead.
I understand though, that the parents need closure.

HOWEVER - who leaves their children alone all night in an unlocked apartment? I really think they should have been prosecuted for this - but they are white middle class with 'respectable' jobs so obviously they were OK to do this!! (yet a working class mother who left her baby in the care of her 14 year old sibling was prosecuted for neglect, because you have to be 16 or over to look after a minor!!)

^ This!

I think it's disgusting that they'd want to make money out of their little girl's disappearance

I don't feel sorry for the parents at all, they shouldn't of left their kids alone in the first place! It was their own fault, and now they expect everyone to feel sorry for them!

What virus did it find?
I can't be bothered finding the link again to open, but were there any ads on the page? If so, chances are high that it's an infected ad that causes the virus and not the website itself. Whether or not you'll get the virus will depend on if that ad gets loaded or a different one gets picked for you. Most ads are targeted towards you based on previous google searches and information picked up from trailing you. If you've used all 3 computers to search for last minute holidays for example, you're more likely to get a last minute holiday ad that might be infected than someone who has only been searching for strollers. Not sure if that makes any sense, but ok =)

Anyways, no virus scan came up to warn me, and the link you posted hasn't found anything for me either.

Its not a ad, its a iframe trojan virus. Theres no ads on the site, OH is on it using proxy now. The website been infected with a piece of html code that then automatcally loads the virus for another website that distributes it. If you have anti virus you are ok, if not then worry. Once on PC it then tries to forward itself off your PC to your website (If you have one) and on the way takes your passwords with it using a keylog.

Theres only so much private investigaters can do, only so many clues they can find + probs already did find on that night + dayafter, so the moneys being wasted their i think.. i mean what are they getting paid for? just going over the same thing month in month out..

Ah, fair enough =)
Must have been blocked without warning me, no problems here thankfully

laura, could you PM what i've gotta do completely pls? just dont want the ebay one being taken, thanks x

Checks out ok for me. Nothing flags on my AV or site scanners :)

im quite shocked by peoples comments on this topic, they made a huge mistake a mistake that they are paying the ultimate price for day in day out, no one can ever say how they would react if it happened to them unless they have experience it themselves.
I seriously dont think they would have had anything to do with it, would they really keep trying to raise awareness of her being missing if they did something. i dont want to offend anyone or anything but i just think as parents ourselves we should always try understand that we all make mistakes, after reading part of her story in paper it seems that children were being sexually abused in their own beds whilst parents were sleeping a few months before near that area so it seems that maybe them being in wouldnt have made a difference.
As i said i dont wanna start argument on here just expressing my opinion.

Like has been said before, a mistake is turning your back for a second and your baby falling off the sofa, or their hand slipping out of yours and them running onto the road. Planning on going out for dinnner leaving your 3 very young children unsupervised in unfamiliar surroundings in a foreign country is not a mistake. It's irresponsible parenting at best, bordering on total neglect.
