Kate McCann releasing a book...

The Tapas 9, on hearing Kate's revelations, all got up from the table, supposedly to help look for Maddie. All but one, Fiona Payne's mother who also, as has been said, didn't involve herself with any of the investigation. Between Kate saying Maddie was gone and the police arriving, they had all already drawn up a timeline of events on pages ripped out of Maddie's activity book.

If i was one of the McCanns friends i'd be running round the complex trying to find her

Exactly. When the Tapas staff were interviewed, all of them stated that they saw all the group leave at once bar one older woman. Mind you, if a child was missing, I wouldn't find the time to sit down and write out a list of events either

So......Kate & Gerry's child has been snatched & they decide to sit down & form a timeline - riiiiiight! That's something you do hours, or days, later! Did no one think...

'Let's go look for her' or 'SHIT, I'D BEST CHECK ON MY OWN CHILD if there's a potential child snatcher on the loose?!'

I suppose though that would imply they actually took care of their children. The more I read the more I get annoyed. One of the timelines I posted earlier said that one of the men was missing for 2 1/2 hrs because his daughter was sick & he was changing the sheets. The hotel says there were no request for sheets but I digress......my point is, his daughter was sick & he returned to the bar.

I think Gerry was the main person in all of this. I think Kate found out after what had happened and he told her they needed to keep it as a cover up. In interviews she always seems shifty yet forlorn, as if she knows something but is scared to say anything. I do think she is genuinely distraught about what happened. I'm not saying she is right, far from it. If she knew Maddie had died and Gerry wanted to cover it up, she should have stood up for herself but she was probably feeling vulnerable and confused. Gerry always seems so sure of himself in interviews, almost dominant. I can just imagine him sitting her down and telling her his plan and why they had to go through with it. And that although she agreed to go along with it, the thought of what happened alongside the fact she knows the truth but has to lie about it therefore stopping her from grieving properly, is the reason she seems so strange when interviewed. Does that make sense? lol

Thats so confusing. Why did 2 people need to check on her at the same time, did the Dr not have kids of his own to check on

And if that other ones daughter WAS sick, this is exactly why children should not be left on their own :growlmad: And yet STILL they dont feel they did wrong?!

So, question- do you think the McCanns were present when Maddie died, or that she died when they were out? I was thinking about the sofa theory, I wonder if they were trying to give her sedatives and she was scrambling away (i know mine hate taking anything!) and has fallen? Just a thought x

Omg I get it  The way that's written is awful! She didn't go to "relieve" him as such  She went to relieve him of cleaning up after their daughter who was vomitting. Hence why he went back to the bar and Jane was in the room when all the commotion started.

..

why go back to the bar when your daughter has just been sick??

 Yes it does and you are right he is deffo the more dominant one while she seems to keep her head and eyes down

Dont this this has been posted - very interesting

32 - The PJ keeps an eye on their public appearances. All info is being checked and the PJ starts working on the mobile phones info. No communications which arouse questions are detected, apart from Robert Murat who will later be made an arguido. The PJ check Kate and Gerry's phone records. Kate did not make any phone calls between the 27th April and the 4th of May which arouses suspicions. And hasn't received any between 11:22 on the 2nd of May and 23:17 of the 3rd. Gerry's phone has no record of calls before the 4th at 00:15. But there is a record on Kate's phone of a phone call from her husband on the 3rd May at 23:17. The same record doesn't exist on Gerry's phone. So the records were deleted. Why?

hmmm

OMG!! Here's me thinking, well there's an excuse she made that the police wouldnt question, LOL :dohh:

68 - The dogs are taken to apartment 5A and, as we know, detect death scent and blood, Around 10:00 pm Gerry is seen by the investigators driving around. Nothing was detected by the dogs in any of the other apartments. The history of apartment 5A was checked because another person could have died there before. No one did which was sadly revealing. The death scent dog was taken to the field. Nothing was found. The police were now sure the biggest mistake was not to tap the Tapas' phones and not to follow them closely. A judge refuses the request for the phones to be tapped. The villa where the McCanns were now staying was searched by the dogs. The dog detects death scent on Cuddle Cat.

Transcript of an interview here:

https://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2008/09/mccanns-in-expresso-interview.html

Q – Did you fear that you might lose custody over Sean and Amelie because your behaviour was considered to be negligent?
Gerry – We were not negligent, we did what any reasonable parent would do. But we deeply lament what happened, because in our action, someone saw an opportunity to take Madeleine. I’m an optimist person. I never thought that something like this could happen.

Q – Were you surprised when you were made arguidos?
Gerry – In a way, we would like to have been accused so we could defend ourselves openly. Now, reading the process, there is no evidence that justifies the suspicion, apart from the dogs’ action. There was never a sustained explanation. And the questioning: ‘What happened to Madeleine? How did you get rid of her? Who helped you? Where did you put her? All fantasy! If they had found DNA – so what? And if Madeleine had hurt herself inside the apartment – why would that be our fault?

DELUDED!

49 - Mr Amaral gets a phone call from his scared wife. Somebody had killed one of the family dogs, a Shitzu who had a serious head injury. Mr Amaral went home but was in a hurry because he needed to go back to work and didn't want his children to see the dog like that. He decided that he should bury the dog but the ground was too hard. So he decided to take the dog and put it in the trash bin. While doing so he couldn't help think how easy it was for someone to dispose of a dead body. Amaral's wife asks him to leave the investigation because she is scared. Mr Amaral tells his wife she is not being rational and that there are no reasons to be worried.

62 - How could Kate leave the twins alone again with a window supposedly open with an abductor close by?

:haha: Perhaps she should of used that excuse instead

alot of assumptions are being made based on what the media & police (who lets face it didn't handle the investigation very well at all) none of us were there and based on that I don't think any of us will really know the truth about what happened :(

- arrival at the Ocean Club on Saturday, April 28
- distribution of the families in the apartments:

apt 5A - Kate Healy (39) and Gerry McCann (39) with Madeleine (3), Sean and Amelie (both 2)

apt 5B (next to apt 5A) - Matthew Oldfield (38) and Rachael Mampilly (37) with Grace (19m)

apt 5D (like 5A & 5B, also on ground floor) - Russell O'Brien (37) and Jane Tanner (36) with Ella (3) and Evie (1)

apt 5H (on first floor) - David (41) and Fiona Payne (35) with Lilly (2) and Scarlett (1), and Dianne Webster (63)

Have you seen the ages of the children?! Ugh!

Most of my assumptions come from things the McCanns have said (and by said I mean, you can actually see them saying it on youtube so it's not a case of their words being twisted) and their every changing story. But it is hard to sort out fact from how it's being reported & it's frustrating to think that the McCanns & their friends are covering something up & getting away with it! If they aren't, their behaviour makes NO sense!

57 - The room seems too tidied up and too cold. Everything in the right place. No signs of an abductor who would have needed to use something to get out of the window. No footprints anywhere, nothing. Suspicions of an intentional modification of the crime scene. According to Kate, Cudle Cat was close to the pillow when she found Madeleine missing. The bed sheets of the twins' cots were not there.

Also not forgetting Jane tanners frequent changes in how the man looked! How obvious is that.
