Kate McCann releasing a book...

I don't think so,I'm sure I read somewhere that if he tells anyone what was said in confession he will be sacked...

Also didn't the Vatican remove everything to do with them from the website when they were all for helping??

I read somewhere that the priest became almost haunted by this and got moved from the church but that he also removed himself from the McCanns. Must have been feeling guilty at what he knew.

It must be the worst feeling in the world....knowing what you do,but knowing if you tell you have to give up your vocation in life...xx

Yeah i knew there was something about him, thought he was removed from the church is some way x

Give it another 10/20 years, the truth will come out eventually. If anyone's gonna crack it will be Kate imo. Either that or as awful as it sounds, a body will be found:cry:

I wonder what their family thinks about the whole thing, like the kids grandparents, aunts and uncles etc.

On their death bed and not a moment before.

I honestly don't think either of them will voluntarily admit this, not even on their death beds. I think they've told their lies so much that now they're convinced of their own innocence. They can't even accept that it was their fault by 'leaving her alone' and have never admitted guilt for even this even though it's common knowledge that they did.

Honestly to me there would be no decision - he is also covering up a little girl's wrongful death (if he knows that is), surely concealing it is more of a sin in God's eyes than breaking the seal of the confessional?

Same here donna but even if the priest did come out and say something about the confession, it would only be his word. There'd be no solid proof and the mcanns could easily turn around and say he's lying. So not only would he lose his job he could be branded a liar for his trouble. Such a difficult situation to be in.

Harveysmum yes, I think the reason they were never charged was because it happened abroad and in Portugal their child neglect laws are a lot more relaxed, something like that anyway.

about 3/4 of the way down there's a bit about the priest saying he was deceived

Why were they never charged with neglect?is it because it happened overseas?x

Possibly. Or because their friends in high places stopped it. Total miscarriage of justice that. They SHOULD have been charged with neglect all of them who left their kids. An example should have been made of them instead of letting people think that middle class well connected twats like these are above the law.

Loving the conspiracy theories, always entertaining. But seriously, I wouldn't worry about the Illuminata. Sure, they want to mastermind events and control world affairs through governments and corporations to establish a New World Order, but having been established in 1776, and given they are still trying, they clearly aren't very good at it........

I have no idea if the McCanns did something to that wee girl or not, but I do think it largely irrelevant. They are responsible for whatever happened to her because of the unforgivable neglect of leaving 3 children under the age of 3 alone in bed, just so they could go out and get pissed. I hope they feel that guilt every day of the week every week for the rest of their lives.

The really annoying thing hun is that they DON'T feel even an ounce of guilt for leaving them alone. They've said a number of times that what they did was the action of any reasonable parent (or words to that effect) and that therefore they have no guilt.

The Portuguese priest who comforted Gerry and Kate McCann in the days after Madeleine vanished last night said he had been deceived, it has emerged.

According to reports, Father Jose Manuel Pacheco claimed he had done nothing wrong and was simply "supporting two lost souls."

But, bizarrely, he also appeared to say he had been the victim of some form of deception.

It has also emerged Father Pacheco was apparently called in to see his superior, Algarve Bishop Manuel Quintas and warned about his behaviour.

In the days after Madeleine vanished on May 3, the McCanns, both 39 and devout Catholics, frequently sought refuge at the priest's church.

They became so close to Father Pacheco, he gave them the keys to the tiny building so they could go in to pray whenever they liked.

However, his friendship with the couple appeared to spectacularly backfire after police became convinced Kate had told him she had killed her daughter during confession.

But he has vowed to take whatever she had said to the grave, despite being quizzed by detectives.

Father Pacheco appeared to virtually vanish from the public eye in the weeks after Gerry and Kate were made arguidos - or official suspects.

The pair left Portugal without saying goodbye and handed the church keys to another clergyman.

Last week, police moved in to search the churchyard and there has been some suggestion that they may consider digging for Madeleine's body at the location.

Father Pacheco, runs two churches and teaches at three local schools, yesterday broke his silence.

According to the Daily Express, he admitted he had become too close to the couple, still official suspects in the disappearance of their daughter.

"I was deceived," he said.

"I was just doing my job supporting lost souls. I would do that with any family who were in their situation. I didn't do anything wrong.

Father Pacheco, 46, said he had felt compelled to help Kate and Gerry because of their "inconsolable grief".

See now why would he feel like he was "deceived" unless something had been said to him in confessional?

I wonder how they are going to explain this away to the twins.

I bet that when it starts unravelling.

Oh, they feel it, of course they do. Any parent would. Whether they admit it publicly or not, they know they are responsible for her going missing.

I've just been approved to join one of their FB groups and posted link to the 100 reasons she wasn't abducted. How soon before it;s removed and I'm banned?
