Just been talking about this to a friend and when I said things not adding up and this and that happened her response was 'but a lot of that isn't true' all because its the thin you have to find on the Internet because its been hidden by the media which is exactly what the McCanns want and it's working by the sounds of things x

This whole story makes me incredibly angry and sad. It was a relief to finally hear Kate say "why did they think it was okay"
So much doesn't add up. We will never know the truth.

I've just read most of this thread over the last 2 days, and have to agree that things don't add up, I am more than certain that Madeleine is dead, why else would the Cadaver dog pick up the scent of death in both the apartment and car. I mean seriously what are the chances of the McCanns staying in an apartment where someone had died and also renting a car that someone had died in, then for their little girl to go missing? I am also shocked that this "vital" evidence was overlooked/dismissed.

Leaving your three young children alone in a strange place for 5 or 6 nights is appalling and to make matters worse Madeleine had said they had been crying when they realized they had been left alone, and yet they were left alone that night as well, it just beggars belief.

One thing I do know for sure is that if I was innocent and my son was truly abducted then I would move heaven and earth to find my child, and yes that means I would answer EVERY question I was asked by police.

This whole situation just does not sit right with me at all and I don't think Jerry and Kate are as innocent as they are being made out to be.

They have both admitted that neither of them have actively searched for their daughter, instead preferring to go on Oprah and meeting the pope!!

They both also admitted last night on crime watch that they don't feel guilty for leaving them alone night after night x I would carry that guilt with me for the rest of my life.

I honestly do not think the truth will ever come out. I wish it would, though. I think, if she is dead, then she was buried or hidden nearby --- and in which case, I think she would have been found?? So maybe she is alive?

I have noticed each time they come out with something or someone else comes forward more and more dont believe them. The evidence is dragged up again and again. It looks like its turning on them.

I've made plenty of bad decisions, leaving my children alone when I go out eating/drinking isn't one of them!
Bloody hell I went on holiday with my children and I was in bed 10pm every night with them!
If I had left them and they went missing, I'd be the first one blaming myself and saying anything that happens to them is my fault

Actually, when you put his face and the efit face side by side they do look quite similar!!! but i wouldnt have said it looked like him straight off. Its interesting. Do you think people are warming more to the mcanns story? I have read so much on the internet about how the portuguese police think they covered up her accidental death.

They said themselves they'd take one though and when a newspaper offered to pay for one they declined. If people were not believing what I said had happened I wouldn't think twice about doing it. I don't know I just think why say you'd take one when you had no intention

You can fail a lie detector though and be telling the truth. My friend took one to prove to her hubby she wasn't cheating (she wasn't - very jeremy kyle i know!) and got so stressed and agitated she failed it.

ETA: I couldn't watch Crime Watch - as soon as they started showing videos of them I couldn't handle it. Made me think what would i be like if Emilia went missing. yes I only have one but i think that I would have fallen apart after 6 years. All you would see of me on TV was a pile of tears and snot. I also don't understand why they said "the person who committed a crime was the one who took a little girl away" - is that not a bit impersonal? I mean they could have been told to phrase it like that but my words would have been "its the person who took my daughter away from me". I would also be the first one to say "i did wrong and put her in the position where someone could take her".

While there is plenty to judge them for, I don't judge them for not choosing help of mediums or doing a lie detector. They are presumably people of science being GPs and while lots of parents would resort to anything if you genuinely don't believe in anything like that you are not going to want to give these people the time of day which the cynic inside me would assume they are after media attention in a high profile case. A lie detector again isn't scientifically sound, it is humiliating and I imagine they had more important things to be doing than proving their innocence to the British public because a court wouldn't use the findings had they been charged of anything. So all conspiracy theories aside, I think this "evidence" isn't anything you can get facts or proof from.
