Koa - means "fearless & brave"

It's also the name of a Hawaiian tree.

What are your thoughts on using Koa as a boy's name?

Also, what do you think of the names --

Bodhi (meaning: "awakening & enlightenment")
&
Kyloh / Khylo

Thanks! :flower:

LOVE Koa! Might even suggest this one to DH

DH is in love with Bodhi, but I think it sounds awful with our last name. Also I've discussed the name with a few people, who all seem to hate it, and now it's put me off the name completely.

I don't love, or hate Kyloh, but prefer Shiloh.

Bodhi is quite a celebrity name which might be something to consider. Both names aren't that accessible in the UK so its hard for me to pick between. Koa to me looks a bit like Koala with the ending dropped off whereas Bodhi I definitely recognise as a name. I also like Kai which is close to your suggestions.

I was thinking today that a baby/child named Koa might be cute - but a man with this name may seem odd. Although it does go quite nicely with my surname!

Agreed. It is cute, but unsure about adult. Could be my next dog 😜

A celebrity (one of west life) over here (well in Ireland) has a son named Koa. I can't get past thinking of cola or Koala every time I hear it 😉 x
