Ladies in who had scans/gender scans in England

Hi ladies.. can any ladies who had their scans done in England please let me know if they were given potty shot from their scan please.. and also whether you had an nhs scan or a private scan.. many thanks x

with my first my scans were on nhs... I didn't get a potty shot, but was asked what photos I would like (feet etc) so maybe if I asked they would have given one but not sure , may ask on my 20 week scan with this pregnancy and see what they say. X

My nhs scan I just got a side profile and wasn't asked if I wanted other positions, my private scan I was given a potty shot but it was a gender scan, so I think it's standard to.

thanks hun. Im only asking as i had a private gender scan in carlisle on the 16th and was told i was not allowed a potty shot and it was now not allowed in England. I cant find anything online about it and wanted to see how many other ladies from england had a potty shot.

I was made out to be a complete fool by the private clinic all because they couldnt be botherd putting any effort into my scan

Is there any way you could complain, you may be able to get a free scan?

I have sent them an e-mail but had no response. I doubt i will get one either.

I didn't get a potty shot but I think if you ask, you can have one.
I don't really want any ones like that because I think the side ones are good enough for me.

Each hospital may have different policies

I got one at a private gender scan.

thanks hun. Found out the clinic is closing down in the middle of this month.. so i wont get a reply to my complaint and now i fully know why she couldnt be bothered but still not an excuse.

That's really strange. My go to private scanning clinic is my local branch of Babybond. Very professonal and comfortable experience. Been going there since my first gender scan with DD1 (2008). Had 6 scans in total there now ( gender for each pregnancy and an early reassurance and 3d scan for DD2 as it was such a tough pregnancy) and it's been the same sonographer doing the scan each time I've been! I always get 5-6 photos included in each gender scan (got 10 this time as it's twins ) including a potty shot each time. It's what you're paying for at the end of the day with a gender scan! Xxx

that sounds lovely hun! I did look at babybond but we would have had to travel twice as far and pay almost tripple the cost to get there but i acutlaly wish i had now. I have my anomoly scan tomorrow so hoping for a definite answer to gender then

I think it depends on the place, I went to babybond and they were terrible.

Exactly, £89 isn't exactly cheap.
