Let the August Babies Be Born!

You never know! But I've got to say it wasn't uncomfortable at all, she really gave it her best. Whenever I go to wipe though I have to do it 2/3 times and there's always brown mucous on there. I'm not sure if that's a good thing that something might happen or it's just from being poked & prodded.

Just back from DD's settling in session at preschool, started crying when I saw her little name peg, bloody hormones! Soon as all the key workers discovered I was overdue they kept looking at me like I was going to just erupt in to labour there & then, the minute I got off my chair they panicked lol. I must admit I'm enjoying the reactions when random strangers ask me when I'm due!

The last 2 evenings baby has literally been head banging my cervix non stop to the point it's making me cry where it hurts so much. DD did this occasionally but nowhere this much, it just won't leave it alone!

I get that pain in my cervix too- like baby is grinding its head on there or trying to punch its way out - ouch!!

It's my son's birthday party in the 11th... Depending on when this baby makes an appearance preparation could be tricky!! Aaaaa the unknown!!

I wish mine was on my cervix she's still 4/5 engaged and no where near going any further!!

Last week mw said baby was 2/5 engaged (3/5 palp) however I swear my bump has dropped since then... I stare at it every day trying to work out if it's getting lower ha ha!

Mine was 2/5 engaged at 38 weeks but second babies are quite good at bobbing in & out apparently. In a way I'm looking forward to my appointment Monday just for an update having not seen anyone medically in 3 weeks!

If it comes to induction, this weekend will be our last as a 3some so trying to not be so grumpy & enjoy the time before the newborn chaos resumes.

Having said that my mood flips constantly and I would love this baby to just get a bloody move on!

It's mad how one of the biggest first trimester fears is seeing any sort of blood when you wipe but now I'm disappointed because there isn't any!!

He's here! Baby Nathaniel was born at 4.05am this morning after a speedy 4 hour labour! Chunky 9lb 5oz & lots of hair like his sister 😍

Nope not yet! We all agree that my dates have to be off because my last two came only a few days after due dates and with it being my first cycle PP from second baby and breastfeeding. Even all of my ultrasound and measurements have been about a week to nine days off.
If I had to guess I'd say I'm probably only a few days over due. Either way, I'm about done with it. This week I will probably go a couple days and then schedule an induction for this next weekend when I'll be 43 weeks. I really wanted to go naturally and have my water birth but things look to go a different way! We will see

I'm in a similar boat - I conceived straight after a mc so my cycle was obviously abnormal, I tracked ov signs and worked out a rough due date of 7th Sept, then a private scan at around 8 weeks dated me at 4th September but my official dating scan put me forward to 30th August! So officially I'm a week overdue tomorrow but really I think I'm due right about now... I was hoping none of this date confusion would matter but I see mw again tomorrow and I know she wants to do a sweep and suggest booking induction, both of which I will be declining at this stage... Argh!
