Let the August Babies Be Born!

Can't believe tomorrow is August, aaaaa! I'm not due till the very end of the month and am fully expecting a September baby but still as of tomorrow I will be able to say that my baby is due this month eeeeeek!!

Anyone mind if I join? I was due July 22 but no sign of baby yet so looks like he will be an August baby instead! I'll be induced at 42 weeks (August 5th) if he isnt out yet...

FINALLY! tmrw I'll be 37w and I go for my final growth scan with the perintologist...this has been the longest week waiting for this. As I've said, doc won't let me go past 39w...so I think tmrws appointment will help determine how this will go! Either I go in labor or he induces at 39w if my cervix is favorable. Who knows! Tuesday I go to my reg OB and hopefully get some more definite answers...I hate not knowing!
I'm really looking forward to seeing how much she's grown in a month and what the specialist has to say about delivery. I just want to meet this little girl already.
So I'm going to say 15 days AT THE MOST!

I have a midwife 36wk appointment this week and it will decide my chances of birthing in a birth centre or the labor ward.
I'm so happy August has arrived, even if my baby boy decides to arrive in early September.

I'm with you on that... I've been to my app and she gave me a streach n sweap I'm now 3cm and having cramps... now im scared I have a scan tomorrow too if nothing happens today... I'm bleeding and loosing bloody mucus too.. so il see what happens I'm 37 weeks tomorrow... and if nothing happens they will.pop my waters a week today xxx

I'm delivering on Wednesday am!! Due to medical reasons baby coming at 36 weeks. Nervous he won't come home right away but really want him out. And it doesn't help I'm feeling like crap still lol. Last night I was so nauseous and today it's been on and off. Had two spotting/bleeding incidents over past 2 weeks.

The 12th is still a go for my c-sec. SIGH! lol I'm bummed but also happy too that nothing was wrong.
Just gotta hang in there until then or earlier if baby decides to show up sooner

My appointment went well today. Baby measures 7lbs 10oz. She has been measuring 2 weeks ahead since 20w but now she right on track but her belly is measuring 2w ahead. They said my amniotic fluid is a little elevated but not concerning....I only have a cpl weeks left. So I have my regular OB tmrw and Im pretty sure he's not going to make any definite plans until the last minute because he wants to see if I go into labor or my cervix is favorable for induction. He'll check to see if I'm dilating yet.
Ugh now it's just a waiting game!

Soon! Good luck and update us when you can. My son was born at 36 weeks and he just needed a little extra oxygen for a bit. I've read that boys need a little extra help, not sure what youre having. But yesterday the nurse practitioner confirmed that....she said they used to call it lazy white boy syndrome in the NICU but don't use that phrase anymore

I'm having a boy and yes I'm white too. Hopefully no lazy white boy syndrome lol!! Never heard it called that before. He was practicing breathing on scan Friday so hoping that's a good sign. I'll update tomorrow sometime for sure!! I'm super nervous.

I was also told in the nicu that 36 week boys tend to be lazy. They think thats why my son took ages to 'get going'

How did your appointment go?

It was fine. Very routine. My BP was high again, but I'm pretty certain that it's just my anxiety causing it. The doctor wasn't concerned with it since I don't have any other symptom that would indicate a problem. Well, no other symptoms other than late 3rd tri stuff heh

Now to just wait to see if baby arrives before the 12th or if he/she stays put until then.
