yeh i was abit of a bnb freak whilst pregnant and managed to get back on here a month after the birth!, yes things have definately slowed down which is good! lol

Vincent is 4 weeks old today guys!! I can't believe how quickly it has gone by
We took him to be weighed today, and he is 4.395kg / 9 lb. 11 oz. He's a right little porker hehe! Well, actually, according to his little red book he is bang on average for his weight. But we also measured his length, and he is 58cm, which is REALLY long! 99th percentile!! I have a tall little man already!!! Shouldn't be surprised, really: His daddy is 6' 4"

we have a little porker to were weighing in at 9 lb 2oz we got sent to have bloods done and a urine test so funny sitting Kelsey on a pot waiting for a drop of wee.... thinking will it be wee or will she make us embarrassed with a poo to. The test was for her jaundice even though it seems all clear... Got to say though seeing her with a BIG FAT NEDDLE in her hand was not nice

i started cerazette pill today allways seid i wasnt going on any pill but had to.
allso iv stopped pumping today its to much to do so on the ff HV coming tomoz so we will see how much he weighs he grown out of new born so defo put on some thing.

allso bort a sling carrier today as he loves to be held and dnt really like being put down so thort it will be good so i can get things done

Aw Carter, I know what you mean about the big needle Vince had a drip line put in when he had a brief stay in the NNU- It's not nice to see, is it?
tmr, yea, Vinnie was on Infacol for a while, but it didn't seem to be helping much at all (even though he loved the flavour!!) so we're trying Dentinox for a while, but we're putting it in his milk instead, we'll see how that goes. On the advice of our HV, we've also changed his teat size to a vary-flow, and that seems to be helping LOADS (we use Tommee Tippee bottles after having NIGHTMARES with Avent! Now selling my Avent steriliser and bottles on eBay, and went out and bought a whole new Tommee Tippee set!! They're soooo much better imo!)

Vince went for nearly 5 hours between feeds today! He is now sitting in his Link a Doos, all swaddled up (he loves to be swaddled!) and he keeps almost falling asleep then waking himself upa gain to look around the room calmly, so cute!!

Love to all our lion cubs!! Please think of Sam_Star and little Elinor today, they finally have a bed for Elinor on the special care ward so she is being delivered today, and will need lots of positive thoughts (prayers if you believe) to help her to get through a tough little entrance into the world. to Sam and her family x x x x x

nutty i was thinking the same about the 1st time not beeing as bad and painfull as the 2nd.
i would love a little sis for my 2 boys but dnt think oh will be up for it he is only just coming around to having lucas maybe in a few yrs when the dog goes hes 14 or 15 now i will talk oh around to it as we go to the park in the car and at the min thes no room and takes a long time to get in and out.

I had a very bad night last night my boobs are so sore and full i could hardly sleep and screamd every time i went on my side the joys of having a baby lol

Hello! I'm hoping that I can be a bit better at joining in the chatter on here than while pregnant. So far, little Alice seems to be a pretty good sleeper (well, in the day at least...) so I should manage some time!
I totally agree Steph - being a mum is the best feeling ever!

lol Bun, I know, I like tall men Hehe... It's a good height though, I hope Vince is close to that (but not too tall! I think any taller than his dad and he'd be in "freakishly tall" territory!! )

costgang and I are doing a sweet little trade of baby stuff: She has some Tommee Tippee bottles she doesn't want, and I have a ring sling and some Avent bottles that I don't want, so we're trading - It made me think, what a great idea: I thought I'd let the whole group know, and if anyone has any stuff they aren't making use of (doesn't have to be baby stuff I guess!) and they'd like to trade for something, maybe we could mention it in here and see if any of the other Lion Cubs are interested in trading? I know there's a buy/sell/swap section in the main forum, but this way we'd be trading with people we "know and trust" a little more rather than just random faceless strangers in the big scary forum! Hehehe... Well anyway, just a thought.

Vince is going to meet one of his uncles later today for the first time, and I am a little apprehensive to say the least... It's my OH's brother, you see, and he isn't the easiest guy to spend time with!!! He's very negative and generally difficult to talk to,with him, everything is always miserable and stuff!!! But he's asked to meet the baby, so of course we said yes... Also, he REALLY doesn't seem like the "baby" type: He's likely to not want Vince anywhere near him if he thinks the nappy smell might seep into his clothes, or there's any change of him puking anywhere near him
So it should be an interesting afternoon!

Oh, and welcome to jelr and baby Natasha!! Hope you get a chance to post in here some time soon jelr honey, I'd love to hear how you're getting on, especially given that we will have lots of the same issues to deal with with your arthritis and my EDS It'd be good to "compare notes" some time soon!
