--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

Skin to skin also Heidi! Take a bath with Lily and make your OH take Caylee away so you and Lily can cuddle naked and BF. :D I also agree with Spidey's suggestion of using a carrier. Do you have a carrier like a moby wrap or anything like that? If you have to chase after Caylee, a carrier would probably be the best thing in the world for you because you can feed Lily and walk around at the same time. :haha: I am very confident that if you just stick with it, the milk will come back and things will be back on track. :hugs:

girls i know where to come when i have my next baby lol, im determined to try properly next time xx

Honestly I want to help as many people as I can with BFing. It's so weird to say that but with my SIL when she didn't even BF for an entire day, I wanted to sit one on one with her and help show her how to latch and what positions are comfy and all that. Although I knew it wasn't my place and I'm not going to be pushy. I just think it's really important and more women should get good help. I would've gave up if it wasn't for this site and for my lactation consultant who sat with me and watched an entire feeding session and showed me different ways to do things, etc.

i woulde killed for someone to do that for me i really wouldve xx

I had to seek out the consultant though. She was very busy and I basically forced my way in and asked her to do a session with me. I think the help is out there but it takes some serious effort sometimes to find it. If I were you Boothh, I'd seek out the local LLL when you are pregnant with your next baby so you can be super prepared and have that support available even before you have the baby. I've never personally went to a LLL meeting but I've heard some really good things about them.

I am blessed to have you BF mommas. If I did not log on here today and say anything, I would have started bottle feeding because I was so upset and could not do it. I just want you ladies to know, every bit of advice, every "woohoo" you say, makes me feel like I can do it. :hugs:

Well WOOHOO than! :winkwink: You really are doing amazing! Don't ever think otherwise. :D You've already hit your month milestone right?! You should get yourself a blinkie so you can see it every time you log in and feel proud.

Hmmm I just tried to post a link to where I get my blinkies and it says a moderator has to approve so I guess I did something wrong. It was to another forum so that is probably why.

Hey everyone:

Girls I have to say like Booth said you are all a great support for the BF - if by some chance I can manage to go without meds (unlikely but I can live in hope eh) and I am BF I will definitely come on here, you are all brill.

Heidi: I went to work laughing this morning think of your OH expressing your milk - fair play to him LMFAO lol - You can definitely do the breastfeeding.

Shiv: Our routine is we get Natasha washed and changed for bed, then she sits on one of our knees and has her bottle and some quiet time and then we brush her teeth and get her into her sleeping bag and then both kiss her goodnight and she goes down. I know a bottle is not an option for you, but maybe a drink from her cup on one of your knees and maybe a massage like Booth said is an idea so as you it can be some close time instead of the BF for the moment. I'm so sorry you are going through this and maybe she does have a touch of the bug you had too and is just feeling off - Natasha was like that for the last week and a half - mainly because of her cold, but we had loads of crying and not eating and not sleeping for a few days even before the cold - so I'm putting it down to either teeth or she just didn't feel well as she was coming down with the cold. I really hope tomorrow is better and that you are also feeling better.

Regarding teeth - I wondered how everyone knew LO's were getting back teeth too as Natasha never lets us have a proper look to see, I am only guessing she is getting a back tooth as she has the 8 front ones and has all the teething symptoms, dribbling, biting on everything, really bad nappies and a sore bum (which my mam says is a typical teeth bum because their pee and poo becomes more acidy) - she did manage to let me put my hand into today and I could feel little lumps on the bottom of her gum on one side, so I think that is the culprid.

Natasha sometimes kneels and then bends over like a triangle and looks through her legs, it is so funny to watch, I think it is just experimenting with the way they can move, her latest thing is crawling between our legs if we are standing in her way rather than going around us lol

Kim: Natasha has been getting loads and loads of finger food since she was about 7 months old and at first she missed her mouth more than she was getting in - It will come to him, it just takes practice. Like the girls were saying I would leave him too it and not fuss over him. If Natasha is having a fussy day and is not eating and I hover, she tends to play up and start throwing it around, where as if I put down all her food in front of her and just potter around the kitchen doing my few bits, she just gets on with it when she is not getting attention. I wouldn't worry about people thinking you haven't thought him how to eat properly or have manners as that will come in time when he is older, at this stage they love to experiment and play games with it at the start, think of it from his point of you, it is all new colours and textures.

Spidey: Hope the prunes are still working.

Samstar: Hope you are feeling a bit better and your DH has grown up a bit today.

Nutty: Good luck with the tatoo.

Cleck: Hope your cold is better today. lol at Emma eating like a dog, I was cooking the other day and Natasha was crawling around the kitchen floor and I spilled a tiny bit of flour and she lay down on the floor and started licking it up, it was so funny.

Booth: Hope Jessie is feeling better after those jabs, Is that the last ones now in the UK. the last ones here are 13 months but it is the PCV and Men C - she had her mmr at 12 months.

Well AFU: Natasha still has this cold and is due for her last jabs tomorrow but I'm going to cancel - she is nearly over it but I dont want to chance it. My mam said that they normally do them with a cold and it is only if they have an infection or temp that they dont. But I know the jabs bring down their immune sysmems so I dont want her to end up really sick when she already has a cold, so I think I will leave it for another week.

Good news is she finally slept last night and tonight there hasn't been a peep from her since she went down so fingers crossed, that phase is over.

Hmmm I just tried to post a link to where I get my blinkies and it says a moderator has to approve so I guess I did something wrong. It was to another forum so that is probably why.

Unfortunately I can't approve it because it links directly to another parenting forum :(

That's what I figured. :( Thanks for letting me know!! :flower:

jelr- @ Natasha licking up the flour. That sounds exactly like Emma. She does some really weird things sometimes. I can't help but laugh but it makes me worry a bit that there's something actually wrong with her. :haha:

Emma has a remote that we don't use in her toy box. No batteries in it or anything like that. Well just a second ago she held it up towards the tv and than slammed it onto the ground. I think she's been watching me too much because I'm always slamming our remote when it doesn't work.

Ah no cleck there is nothing wrong with her. Natasha does weird things too. I think it all just exploring with them, they just want to see how things taste and feel and wonder what will happen if I do this, sure the world is like a big blank canves to them and everything is new.

Lmao at Emma slamming the remote ha ha. Natasha picks up the remote too and turns it towards the tv but doesn't do the slamming ha ha. I just think they are at such a cute and fun stage now and are experimenting and copying everything.

:haha: I slam our remote all the time. Emma always chews on it so I think her slobber has made it a bit unreliable.

I love the stage they are at now too. I really hate for her to grow up. But I've read in the toddler section about babies saying random funny stuff that is embarrassing out in public and that makes me laugh so I think that stage will be fun too. :haha:

LOL!!! Oh my gosh! That little stinker!! Gosh I adore her! LOL!! See Cleck, you gotta be careful about what you do in front of her. These little ones are watching every move we make. Except for Bry, he will steal my remote when I'm not looking and will run off with it and chew and slobber on the buttons. Oh wait I just remembered, he loves to take it out into the loft upstairs here and drop it onto the laminate wood floor over and over. LOL!! I'm surprised the thing still works! :haha:

^^ Ours is just barely hanging on from the abuse. Sounds like Bryson is just as destructive as Emma. :haha:

jelr - his first set where the day after his birthday and he was supposed to have his second set mid september and the third next week but i forgot about them so he had them yesterday instead,
he has the runs really bad and is vomiting today, im not sure if its a bug or if its do with the injections :/ iv had to throw his sheets and pjs away though because they were just literally covered, i feel so guilty that he wouldve been lying in that during the night but he didnt wake up and we only stick our head round the door to check hes breathing and the covers arnt on his face so theres no way we couldve seen,
i dont know he couldve done it in the 5mins before he started shouting for me though i really hope he wasnt lying in crap all night :(

AND HE THREW UP ON MY LAPTOP!!! if we had a chokey he would soo be in there right now lmao!

lol kai sounds as bad as me stuart took the piss out of me for ages because when we had a power cut i thought we couldnt flush the toilet :dohh:

 That is too funny.

Poor Jesse :( Hope is doing better!!!

I love how kids copy us, its so funny. I really have to start watching what I say, I am scared she is going to copy words that are SO NOT ok lol. Which would be easier if my OH was not such a dink sometimes
