living with kids with allergies group

Well we didn't get any answers but I'm glad we went! They tested for all major food allergens but nothing came up as positive! They gave us a stronger cream for his eczema though as its quite bad and they said we need to get it under control.

We were also told to wean early. New research shows that 4-6 months old is the optimum time to start introducing food -as long as baby is ready- and it has proven to reduce allergies apparently.

interesting about the early weaning. Glad the tests showed no major allergies.

Just updating with the wonderful news that I'm pretty sure Maria has outgrown all her allergies!! :happydance: now at last she can eat cheese sandwiches and boiled eggs without reactions and she is loving it! (surprised that she loves cheese so much when she had maybe tasted it a handful of times in her entire life but she fell in love with it immediately!)

Wonderful news!
Alex has also been discharged from the allergy services at the childrens hospital :D

My son also outgrew his allergies - he was about 3yo. Yay!
My daughter is 2 tomorrow and still has issues with dairy and eggs, but we're working on it and it's so so much better

Really great that all the kids are doing so well!
