My LO was on Aptamil hungry baby milk. He turned six months and I am currently weaning him (although he does not have a huge amount of food, just one helping of puree a day at the minute)

Now he's on the six months and above he's hungrier, and wakes up for feeds in the night. Something that he'd stopped doing.

Is the six months and above milk less feeling as it's to go with weaning? Is it worth going back to hungry milk until he's eating more?

Thanks! xx

you dont *need* to go on to follow on milk- the only difference is more iron in the 6 months plus milk- So its up to you- there shouldn't be any harm in using your old milk- but you might find that he just might be hungrier now he is at that age- they are usually driven to solids because milk doesn't fill them up like it used to.

Follow on milk normally has less calories than first stage milk, so if your LO isn't eating much yet, he may be feeling hungry more often due to less calories etc. I havnt switched try, but LO eats 3 meals a day now do when this tin runs out I'm going to try follow on and see what happens x

im now in two minds on switching to stage 2 sma after some posts on the forum today,id like to see what everyone thinks, Bumping thread x
