Long Irregular Cycles 'r' Us

Lol, I know! I thought I'd O'd when I had that temp rise before but FF took it off me when my temp dropped and :witch: never came! I was poorly for some of it though so I think that didn't help.

Hope your cycle decides what it's doing soon!

Hi who's_mummy :hi:
Welcome to our little club, I hope you won't have to stay long.

I'm on my second day of Angus Castus today, needless to say that so far it hasn't done a thing yet. Not expecting anything this month to be honest, if at all.

I've finally found time today to get my new under the desk pedal bike unpacked and use that again. Feel much better for it =) The scales have liked me the last 2 days when I've checked, so I'm hoping that on Sunday I'll have lost 2 pounds to I'm at least back to 1 lbs a week again. We shall see!

Found another house that looks absolutely gorgeous from the outside and is in quite a posh area. It's 'only' 2 bedrooms, would have liked 3. But can't have everything. They do accept DSS, with guarantor. Which will probably be a problem, as we can't think of anyone that could be a guarantor for us. We've only got 2 friends we're in contact with regularly, one had bad credit and the other isn't a home owner. MIL also has awful credit because she got several loans and a mortgage on the house out for my BIL, who is known for being a really bad payer. Needless to say, she's now in massive debt (and digging a bigger hole for him!) and won't be able to be a guarantor for us.

Sooo ... DH is hoping that maybe if we offer to pay 3 months up front they won't need a guarantor. I'm not all that hopeful =/
Would any of you ladies know who exactly will pass for a guarantor? For example, MIL is behind with payments but she's never had any CCJ's and she owns her own house. Would she be likely to pass? She's also a pensioner, and I'm not certain if a guarantor needs to be in employment. Don't wanna pay £50 for a credit check to find out she won't do =(

I think the only thing I'm not worried about is our own credit. Not very hopeful for ever moving out like this. Doesn't help that DH is self employed, as people don't seem keen on tenants that aren't in full time employment.
I'll stop my little rant now ;)

Hi Erised, cant you get any close friends, aunts or uncles or any other family member to do it for you? i dont think it quite matter who does it as long as they give good references......
glad to hear you have been taking your angus castus tabs.... im still waiting for af to show before i take mine..... god i wish she would show her face!!! xxx

They need to pass a credit check, that's all I know =/
All my family is in Holland, so they can't as I'm assuming they'll need to be of British nationality. We're not into going out, and there for only have 2 friends. One with bad credit, and one that isn't a home owner (which apparently is a requirement?), the only family that DH has in England (others moved to Australia or have passed away as his parents left having children until late) are his brother with terrible credit (seriously, -terrible- he doesn't even live here and we have about 5 chaser calls a week for him! Even had bailiffs knocking on the door), his mum with terrible credit and his uncle whom we see about once every 3 years. This is gonna be fun! =/

Hope AF will show up soon for you hon, will be nice for someone else take Angus Castus so I can see if it does anything for you!

--Edit--
Just googled 'Who can be a guarantor', and apparently you can persuade some landlords to not require a guarantor by offering to pay for a guarantee & legal expenses insurance ...which would be worth giving a try! That, or offering 2 months of rent as a security deposit, which I'd rather not do but could be a last resort option. Feeling a bit better about it now =)

yeh hun im sure there is other ways around it, i didnt have the bond when moving into my home and my landlord was ever so nice and let me spread the cost of my bond through my rent over about 3 months.... so im sure you will get there with a bit of gentle pursuasion.... it would drive me crazy if people was nocking on my door trying to chase up some on who doesnt live here! bless ya xx

yeh i wanna start my angus castus as soon as coz im dying to know if it actually works!! hurry up af!!! would start it now but i reckon its better to start at the beginning of a new cycle rather than the end of one??

xx

Hello again ladies, just catching up! Hope you get things sorted with the house Erised, good luck with it all - hope they will let it go with the 3 months upfront. Crossing my fingers for you.

Hope af comes soon Drakey so you can start the agnus castus, or better still, you get a bfp and don't need it at all! - Look how late in her cycle Littlestar ovulated, it could happen!

Welcome Gemma! Hope this gets sorted out soon.

Erised, it's worth asking if they'll accept 3 months instead of a guarantor. Hope you can get the place.

Hey girls! Since there are a few new members, I am quoting the link to our fabulous signature in case any of you want to add the team logo.

Thanks BizyBee - have now added the lovely signature!

Erised - I hope you get your housing situation sorted soon - fingers crossed!

Welcome whos_mummy - welcome to the club.

Well am now on CD 102 - never been in triple figures before! Still haven't heard anything from fertility doctor! Might be going into 200's by the time that comes around!

Have seriously had enough today - all I want to do is get under my duvet and cry! All I want is for one little egg and one little sperm to find each other - is that too much to ask!!!!

And it doesn't help that I've given up chocolate until Easter - who's stupid idea was that! x

I just noticed the signatures are broken, which means DH's hosting is down once again. Sorry ladies, it should be working again soon *sigh*

I received a letter this morning which has me wondering what's going on. When I went to see the gynae I had to take a urine test with me, and the lady took it off did some stuff then came back and I didn't hear anything from it. So I assumed all was well and that they only did a pregnancy dip test or something. Today I received a letter saying ...

We have now received the results of your recent urine test.

The doctor has requested that you repeat the test now.

The test form is enclosed. The named sample container can be collected from the surgery at the reception desk.

Please write the date and the time the specimen was produced on the sample container.

Seal the container in the bag, take to Arrowe Park Pathology Laboratory or bring it to the surgery before 12 noon.

* The sample must delivered to either the hospital or the surgery on the day you produce it before 12.00

So what's going on there?! It's got me a little worried as non of this was mentioned to me at all. I wasn't told what tests they were doing, heck ... even that they were doing tests again! Hmm...
Might try and give the results line a call and see if they're willing to tell me what's up

Also, the sentence in bold (was actually in bold on the letter) seems to be missing a word! Didn't realise that until I typed it out, lol. Think they forgot the little word 'be'

--Edit--
Also, question ... do I wait before I stop bleeding before taking the blood sample, or do I actually do it now (aka tomorrow) as it said in the letter?

You'll have to thank Erised actually, as she's the one who originally posted the link. :) I love seeing all of the sparkly posts!

Aly, sorry you're up to 102 days! Hope something happens soon... :hugs:

Just spoke to MIL, she thinks it's because of the container we used. An old garlic dip container. I think she's probably right!!
I told DH this at the time, but he refused to drive me to the GP's to pick up a special container for it as he was busy with work and said that it wouldn't matter if I just used an ordinary Tupperware container. So curse him!!

I called the results line, and because it's done through the hospital they don't have any information. It just says that I'm due a repeat, nothing else. I'm pretty sure MIL has got it head on though.

Also, signatures are back up again =)

Hmm, that's interesting. I wonder what they're testing for. I'd probably do it now, but that's just because I'd want to figure out what it was for right away. Could you call the Dr. and ask what to do?

We posted at the same time and you answered my question before even reading it!

The container theory sounds like a good one...

=D

Slightly annoyed with my DH about it, but he doesn't seem to care. His responds was 'yeah, that seems about right. Gay'. Why does it seem about right now?! This is what I said -before- I put the sample in and then it didn't matter according to you!!! So whyyyy does it suddenly seem right nearly 3 flippin' weeks later! :hissy:

And because he's busy with work, he's completely unaware that I'm annoyed with him. lol ... Heck, I even said 'I blame you' in a joking way, and didn't get any responds what so ever. Will force him to drive me down to the GP's today to pick up that container though, so I can do the test tomorrow even though I'm bleeding.

Aly - 102?! You poor thing. I bet you're gonna be in for a hell of an AF when she does show her face as well =(

Thanks BizyBee and Erised. I know - part of my wants the :witch: to arrive just to get it over and done with and part of me is still hoping that I might ovulate and another part hopes it stays aways until I see the fertility doc so that if they do prescribe me clomid I can start taking it nearly straight away. I don't know what to think at the mo am all over the place! Could really do with a nice holiday - lying on a beach somewhere hot sipping a margarita!!!! x

Give him hell Erised - bloody men - haven't got a clue what they are doing most of the time! But we love em anyway!!!!

I definitely could go for a frozen margarita right now! Mmmm....

Had CD21 bloodwork done today. Can't wait to find out the results.
