Long Irregular Cycles 'r' Us

Hi hun to add your FF link you need to click on "homepage set up" at the top of your screen above the calender. It then gives you your link as your hompage web address at the top of the next page! :hugs:

Thank you!!

I've only been doing this for a few days so there's not much info on there yet.

https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/226b91

Off to the Doc's in 45 minutes... let's hope this one is better than the last!

Will keep you posted :)

Thats it there now hun! You can add that link into your signature as well if you like so it always appears when you post and you don't have to go looking for the link everytime you want to ask questions.

Good luck at the Dr's hope he has some answers for you!!! :hugs:

Doctor was great, I really like her!! I felt a whole lot better just talking to her and told her everything. She even told me a few things by looking at my notes, which my other doctor hadn't even told me! Anyways, she's suggested 6 to 8 sessions of acupuncture to try and make my cycles regular. Lucky for me, she's specialises in it... now I just need hypnosis to get over my fear of needles

Oh and i found a great place on amazon that sells OV test strips and hpt's.... you can have any amount of either as longas it's not over 50... so with my cycles, i decided to get 50 OV strips  Can't say I'm not prepared. I'm becoming a POAS addict!!!! Who can i blame? :dohh:

acupuncture can make cycles regular? wow now that's interesting! if it works let me know!! :)

I still have about 40 OPKs too, so you're not hte only one!

I think Bird is doing accupuncture as well, seems to be quite popular for helping cycles, not sure I would be up for it though as i'm not a fan of being a pin cushion!!

Glad your Doc visit went well TP, it's nice to see there are some helpful GP's out there!! :hugs:

I'll join you girls I think. I seem to be in a never ending cycle, not entirely sure where ... Actually, not true. I just went and checked my ticker. I'm now on CD41 *sigh*

As I haven't really been keeping track of anything I can't remember what my previous cycles were like. Was too busy with our honeymoon and things, just let things happen naturally and didn't actually ttc. Showed a bunch of symptoms indicating pregnancy last week, though they've all gone away now and had a BFN. FF seems to think that around the time I felt like this I was ovulating, so I guess there's still hope. Though if I only ovulated 9 days ago and I'm already on day 41 I don't wanna know how long this cycle is gonna be =/

So yeah, there you have it ... I'll wait patiently =)

Hi Erised :hi: welcome to the long and irregular club!! :hugs: I know i'm a graduate but I still hang around like a bad smell as I quite like it here and the girls are lovely! :hugs:

Are you recently off BCP?? Just had a look at your chart and it doesn't look like you have ov'd yet, are you also checking cm? You can record that in your FF chart if you don't mind the stalkers knowing what is going on up there!! If you did OV9 days ago then any hpt you have done will still be too early to detect anything so try and hold off testing for a few more days!! :hugs:

Don't be disheartened by long cycles, keep charting and taking note of your cm/cp and remember that it is still possible to get your :bfp: even when your cycle is much longer than average! :hugs:

Aye, stopped BCP on the 28th of May. Hoping the cycle will sort itself out a little more soon. I do believe the O that is suggested by FF is probably just a fluke in temperature, plus it isn't exactly stable! Didn't have a good input today as I didn't manage to get any sleep =/ From tomorrow on I'll change the time I check temp (as in, I'll change what time I'll wake up) so that might make a difference.

I have only just started to check CM, and haven't really been temping properly either or anything. Wanted to start out properly start next cycle =) As for CM, it's confusing the living daylight out of me tbh. Atm it's definatly not dry but the closest it would come to is watery (as in, finger is wet with some white clumps in it but on moments all you notice is the wet finger ... not slimy, not thick nothing. Just wet) but I don't think it's that from reading the description as to when you should have it. So for the last 3 days I've been checking CM and I've constantly been changing it between 'dry' and 'watery' on FF not being able to make up my mind! lol

In hopefully better news, there was some blood before when wiping ... I'm hoping it's spotting, though think it might be from BD. Honestly hope it's spotting as I don't hold much hope for this cycle and I'd rather have it end already so I can be more hopeful on the next =) If not, I've ordered some cheapies (and ovulation strips) that should arrive early next week. If AF doesn't show I'll probably test on Tuesday. Just for the sake of it =)

Welcome Erised and congrats on your recent wedding :hugs:

It seems to depend on the person but it can take a while for your body to get back to "normal" after the BCP. I'm off it since December 07 and my cycles have been long and unpredicatable.

I do find that charting has helped to ease the confusion and has helped me understand my body more. I'd defo recommend it.

FF has given me cross hairs on my chart saying I possibly O'd on the CD13. My eye I tell ya! There's no way I missed that. I've been POAs like it's going out of fashion and getting all negs on the OPKs. So, I reckon FF is wrong and it's quite satisfying to think the tables have turned and that I know how to read my signs and interpret my body signals more than FF! Yeay! I am-de-best :)

I hope I haven't just jinxed myself now and FF is actually right!

I have to put in today's temp so wondering how that will effect it.

Awwww, hope you don't mind me jumping in guys, i just wanted to say hurrah for SJnams!!!!
Feeling a little down today. All my cycle buddies (on another thread!) seem to have Ov'd and are now furiously swapping symptoms. I'm still waiting to Ov, still trying ti figure out what the hell is going on with stupid my stupid body and wishing i was swapping symptoms too! So was feeling a bit down and left out, and mooched over to have a look at this thread and was reminded once again that Sjnams got her BFP after a ridiculously long cycle! Once again she has given me hope and cheered me right up, just when i needed it!!!
You're still my inspiration lady!
whoop! whoop! to all you irregular girls out there - we'll show those 28 day-ers we can get BFPs too!!!!!!

Awww thanks hun :hugs: I know how it feels to be impatiently waiting to OV when your "cycle buddies" are all moving into the 2ww, I felt so lonely watching my buddies go through up to 3 rounds of 2ww symptom spotting and I was so jealous and just wanted to join in! :hissy:
I'm really glad that my :bfp: gives you hope, SnettyB also managed a mammoth cycle and got her :bfp: on CD78 (5 days longer than me!!) so lets hope there are a few more long and irregulars to show those "I can time my AF to the minute" girls!!! :hugs:

:dust::dust::dust::dust:

SJ i just read that about snettyB and feel so much better about being on CD84!!! Thank you :)

Hi Vickie83!! :hugs: Don't despair with a long cycle as after a bit of prodding from a BnB buddy I checked out the chart gallery on Fertility Friend and found that there were a few cases of :bfp: produced after OVing well after CD50....theres even a pregnancy after oving on CD132 so there is definetly hope out there for those of us with cycles well over 50days!!! :hugs:

Good luck with your journey and I hope you see your :bfp: soon!!

:hug::dust::dust::dust::hug:

I've just started a new cycle! Woo-Hoo! =D Never thought I'd be so exited to have AF come to visit. Hoping this one won't be as long (last one ended at 44 days).

Hi, can I join you?! I'm averaging around 45 days, and I'm on CD 5, so *only* around 27 days till ovulation!!

I'm taking metformin for PCOS and for the past 2 months I've managed to OV successfully, on CD 32. Been TTC for 9 years altogether, but no OV'ing for most of that. :)

welcome to the club!!

I love your avatar, by the way! :)
