Long Irregular Cycles 'r' Us

True. My older relatives have also said that there was no worrying about what you ate etc as they were never advised about taking folic aicd, avoiding alcohol or soft cheeses etc So suppose some of the 'fuss' about pregnancy was not there.

Didn't mean to scare you all away with my ramblings of the 'old days'!! Come back!! lol

Do any of you get ov pains? What are they like and does it feel like they are on one side only or are they more like period pains?

When I used to get OV pains I got them on one side only, and is was like a sharp stabby pain, only lasted about 5 minutes, but happened bang on time every month.

I'm so glad to see this thread is still active! :happydance: I knew there was a need for a place where women who can't predict their cycles to come and talk! :hugs: I wish you all the best of luck in your journeys and I hope to see you over in the pregnancy forums soon!!

:dust::dust::dust::dust:

Well, I'm off metformin now, so heaven knows when I'll ovulate - if at all. Based on the past 3 cycles on met, AF is due 15th oct, and OV 2nd oct... but that might not happen. I'm seeing the doc soon about Clomid. :)

I think there is ongoing research in to which is best out of clomid and metformin, with advocates on both sides of the arguement!

good luck with the clomid
x

I've been on it for 5 months and ovulating, but for the past 2 months I've been quite ill, I've had tests and stuff and they found nothing, so they've taken me off it to see if anything improves. :) It's a horrible feeling knowing it was working but probably making me ill, but I've been offered clomid before, so that's the next step!

fingers crossed that you feel better soon then and still ovulate (with or without clomid)

x

Are there any natural products that can be taken to slightly regulate the cycle? I'm pretty certain I read somewhere on here that there are, though I can't remember any of them =/ I know I mentioned one to my OH, but he doesn't want me taking anything just yet and wants to see if my body will sort itself out on it's own. Fair dues, I'll try it for another couple of months ... but if there is something natural that might do the trick I'd love to know.

Hi Erised and welcome to all the new members of our irregular group!

I have read that Agnus Cactus is good for regulating cycles. I am thinking for starting it next cycle but would love if my next cycle never came and if I got a :bfp:
I have been taking Evening Primrose for the past 2 cycles and I think that has helped my Luteal Phase and improved CM.
I'm currently smothering with a bad cold/chest infection and it's playing havoc with my temps so my once irregular cycle is now even more irregular with dodgy looking temps which I hope are as a result of sleeping with my mouth wide open - down to nasal congestion. :hissy:
I would love if I had a regular cycle and could predict exactly when I was OV but I don't ever see that happening. I'm off the pill since December 07 and thought that once it's out of my system that my cycle would regulate. How wrong I was! I'll be waiting till Kingdom come for that to happen.

On the bright side though, there's been great success from this group and some of our fave irregular girlies have gone on to get :bfp:
Chin up ladies... we'll hang in there
:hugs:

i'm going to try some angus castus next cycle - need :witch: to arrive first though!
CD41 today so i'm two days behind you little miss b
i had a look at your chart they're pretty cool - 7dpo looks interesting - implantation maybe?
hope you feel better soon!
 to everyone still waiting for their :witch: or :bfp:

I'm on CD 21, OV possibly due in approx 11 days, do you think (anyone? :)) it's worth having a go with the agnus castus from now until OV is due? I'm starting Clomid next cycle, all being well.

Good Luck with the Clomid StarDancer!

i'm CD43 today and got cramps i think :witch: is finally on her way.

Cramps could mean anything littlestar! don't give up!! :happydance:

How is everyone doing this (not so) fine monday morning?

My temps seem to have stabled loads this cycle, I'm between 35.79 and 35.95 everyday... which is new for me, but I'm happy :)

I think I am going to start taking agnus castus today, just until OV comes. My only worry is that I take it and nothing happens, and then the :witch: arrives and I will be starting Clomid... I know you're not to take them together... but what about stopping one and 2-3 days later starting another? Does anyone know?

I don't know I am afraid. Sometimes the pharmacist can tell you if you ask them for advice?

I am CD37 with no signs of anything.

I have no clue how I'm doing to be honest. I'm fed up with waiting for AF to come around and have been on a lovely hormonal rollercoaster the last couple of days. Why does the whole flippin' world have little ones at the moment? Went shopping 2 days ago just to have my OH go 'aww', ' She's cute!' ' She's gorgeous' every couple of minutes. Do men get broody? He seems to have done!

My stomach is bloated and hurts whenever I get up, I don't like it. Haven't felt like food in a couple of days either and when I do eat I simply feel sick for a couple of hours. Fed up with all of it, the waiting, the negative O sticks, the whole world having children apart from the lovely ladies on here and me ... *sigh*

So yeah, I can only hope that all these things including the massive mood swings and down moments are signs of AF showing her face soon. Gotta stay positive, right?

I'm a 24 to 78 cd type of gal myself, but am averaging 35 days right now according to mmc.

Can I post on here?

Welcome the more the merrier.

I'm CD45 today and totally fed up - shouldn't be though it's my birthday!
