Long Irregular Cycles 'r' Us

thanks for the warm welcome ladies. well i ovulated early this cycle :saywhat: i'm actually still in shock as this puts me at 3dpo and a cycle (if no bfp of 29 days)

i'm really pleased i have ovulated early as my chart at the start was following the same pattern as an anovulatory cycle i had back in 2006.

anyone else on the 2ww?

hope you girls are well and look forward to getting to know you over the next few months. (though bare with me as don't get much time to get on these days). x

Hey Babytots - I am sitting at 5DPO today. I keep praying for high temps and keep getting them! Taking it one day at a time though. Congrats on your chart! It's looking great. We will have to keep each other entertained the next few days - they are going to go slow! Ha! Good luck in the days to come!

Hi Guys i'm CD7 and it could be anything up to 50 days before i ovulate! it Stinks! Very much a go slow for me too! come on Eggy!

trying loads of PMA this month along with some vit b's wish me luck!

Sorry you are having such a crappily long AF Erised. Hope it ends soon x

Babytots and Appleseed - I am 5DPO, so will join you for the 2ww...

Good luck to all 3 of you in the 2ww! Hopefully the other ladies (including me) will get to join you all soon. And of course we're all hoping for a 9 month long 2ww.

How is the clomid going Stardancer?

Hi everyone, I'm still waiting to ovulate. Everything is pointing to being fertile, but no positive OPK as yet.

Good luck to those in the 2ww, hope I'll be joining you soon!!

Erised, hows things?? any sign of anything?

Nah, I wrote today down as 'spotting', but think I might have to change it back to 'Light' again as I most definitely needed a pad today. I've given up hope for a short cycle. Just gonna have to take it as it comes now.
Got my DH to look into Agnus Castus today, as last time I googled for it I found websites telling me there's an increased risk of miscarriage if accidently taken past ovulation. When looking for it yesterday I couldn't find any information of the sort. As this was the only reason my DH didn't let me try it, I've let him google himself and see what conclusion he'll come to.

Glad things are looking better for you though! Lets hope those positives will come up soon, a short cycle with ovulation would be a brilliant start to that BFP!

I don't know how you're coping bleeding for so long.. mind I had the same thing when I went on BCP after my last mc... I went on it to give myself a break and have regular cycles for a while but I never stopped bleeding for a month. It's a PITA.

I'd definitely give the agnus a go... but obviously research it so you're 100% happy before you take it. :)

DH found references to miscarriage and problems in birth right away of course!
Think we'll pop into the boots pharmacy over the weekend and ask their advice on it. It doesn't help that the 'long' cycles you read about on the internet (the ones that agnus castus supposedly fixed) are all around 32/36 days. I'd love a cycle like that!! Hopefully the pharmacy will be able to give me better advice, as I've found the internet to be very mixed in opinions regarding this.

I've actually bled for over 30 days before I went on BCP, GP basically told me that I skipped the 'stop bleeding' part and that it's not uncommon. It's not supposed to do any harm, as long as you make sure you get enough iron. But when TTC it's bloody frustrating! Think I'll go see my GP in Holland next week or the week after and just bring it up to him. See what he says, though I doubt he'll be helpful.

 to Erised and Stardancer
and good luck to those in the TWW.

I'm just taking Vit B Complex having read allsorts of conflicting stuff on the web re: angus castus. see how we go this month/cycle!

She's Gone!!! :happydance:
Guess yesterday was spotting after all, even though I did still bleed enough for a pad. To be honest, I don't care ... she's gone!! :happydance:

My husband has got a cold, which I can guarantee you will get passed on to me so it will mess up my temps when I need it. Plus he used my thermometer this morning, before I had a chance to see what my temperature was (I take it in the morning then check it when I get up) ... so don't know todays temp. Oh well.

Ladies, a question. When shall I start using OPK's this time? From today on, on from when CM changes? Atm there is no CM at all, so any point in using them today?

littlestar, let me know how the B vits go, might try it myself. And vitamin D, as apparently that's what you get from the sun and that too is supposed to help regulate. Too many things, it gets confusing.

--Edit--
Husband says he didn't use it =/ I'm 200% certain that my temp this morning wasn't 37.08. Just to confirm I took it again when I had been up for a little bit, thinking that if my temp was raised it would still be so... and it was 35.80. Hmm. Wrote it down as 36.19 just to fill something in. So todays temp isn't accurate.

Woohoooo! congrats on the :witch: leaving :happydance:

When I had no clue when OV was coming.. (what am I talking about ?? now is no better!!) I used to check cm a few times a day - any days it was watery or EW I'd use an opk. Yes, it cost a fortune, but you find you don't get fertile cm all that much. I used to get it 2-3 times a cycle on my 2 month cycles. One at 14 days ish - just to get my hopes up, but never a positive OPK, then again when OV did come... and sometimes the odd day in between. I used to use around 10 a month.

I also noticed last cycle, that my cm seems to follow a pattern of watery for a few days then EW, then ALOT of EW on the day of OV... so if yours does the same or similar, you might save on OPK's.

If you're dry there's not much chance you're anywhere near... but with AF just going, there's no way to know if you might be close.. just keep watching your cm.

Good luck sweetie!!! I'm still hoping we get our :bfp:'s together! xxx

Well, bit of a downer ... I stopped bleeding until an hour ago =/ The aerobics has brought it back on, but only spotting. So fingers crossed it will stay with just spotting and go away again soon. I honestly thought it was completely gone! ... Oh well

I'll keep an eye on my CM Stardancer, when it does change I'll start using OPK's, I've got around 30 of them laying around anyways. Thanks for the advice hon =)

I found this article...not sure if its any help or not but its quite interesting.

Havent read it well enough to assess whether its a good study that we should trust. Maybe your DH could check it out and look through its references??

i think chasteberry is agnus castus??? but I could be wrong!

Hey Ladies!

How are all of you in the 2ww doing?! And I notice that includes you now Stardancer! Woo-Hoo!

AF left me properly on CD 14, then 3 days of spotting and I've been completely clear for the last 4 days. Very happy about that! =D CM is still not showing any sign of ovulation any time soon, but hey. As long as I -will- ovulate this cycle, I'll be thrilled.
I didn't get to check my temp today, as we arrived back in Holland (visit to the parents) late last night and silly me forgot to unpack my thermometer. So without temp for today, but on track again tomorrow. Trying to BD every (other) day just to make sure that we will catch ovulation when it happens.

Good luck Erised. Maybe some Dutch air will do the trick!!

Unfortunately CD1 for me today...

Bit gutted.

Had such a lovely chart with highest post ov temps ever...

But not to be.

Hope the witch is staying away for everyone else and glad the clomid seems to have caused an earlier ov for you stardancer

x

I can't remember if I mentioned it in this thread or not but I started acupuncture a couple of weeks ago, to help with my 'irregular' cycles. I was a little bit wary about it as I hate needles so the thought of having them willingly stuck in me was a bit daunting but i figured it was worth it if it helps me get a :bfp: Anyways, the doc said that I probably wouldn't see any change for a few weeks, as she's suggested I have 6 to 8 sessions. Well, I had my second session on Monday (CD15)... I noticed my CM was a bit watery like but didn't think much of it. And then on CD17 and yesterday... I noticed EW!!!!!! usually I don't get EW until CD36!!!!!!! No word of a lie... when I saw it, I screamed "OH My F*****G GOD!" The OH wondered what was wrong  Anyways, he was kept busy later that night  But the thing is, I've been testing on OPK's ever since and I've yet to get a +OPK. So I'm just wondering what the heck's going on at the moment. I've been trying to keep track of my temps again but on a couple of occasions I've forgotten to take it and when i do, they're all over the place. I've had a few probs sleeping, so i never get to take it at the same time... I guess we just keep on :sex:

You might get EW for a few days before your +opk, I get watery/ew for about a week usually. Good Luck!

I'm heading for a 33 day cycle on clomid, I ovulated monday, so 4dpo today. I hate the 2ww. :(
