and don't know where to start!

I like the Moby Wrap.. But is this ideal for when baby gets older?

not looking at spending much more than the moby wrap, and recomendations would be great, Thanks :flower:

There is a sticky with reviews at the top. It might be a little hard to find one that will be good from newborn to toddler although I am sure there is something that will work. If you plan on using it from birth the Moby style seems to be a very good option. If you are going to wait a couple months it might be better to get one that is a little stronger, I think like a mei tai style or ergo style. (LO is only 6 weeks sorry not sure!)

I have a baby k'tan looks to be very similar to baby Buddah. It is a little quicker to get
on, so might be a bonus for someone with a toddler. But I don't think it will be to functional after a year. But it is wonderful for a newborn and infant. Hopefully some expert babywearers will pop in!

I have a Babyhawk mei tai and love it. I started using it from 6 weeks when I got it with Sprog 1 and as soon as I needed it with Sprog 2, probably about 2.5 weeks. It is still very comfortable for Sprog 2, who is about 27lbs at 2 years old. It's been great, but I think if you were nervous about it maybe a wrap would be better. I find wraps make me too hot unfortunately though.

We are going to my mum's this weekend (24-25th) and I'll be taking it with us. Feel free to drop round and try it out - Sprog 2 will be 6 weeks old then if you want to try it out with her. I've sewn it a bit smaller as she won't keep her legs inside it (she will only put them out, like slightly older babies normally do) so it won't be properly supportive under the bum for your LO or my toddler but you could try it on them and it should still give you an indication of weight distribution and stuff.

Brilliant :) will have to pop and meet sprog 2! Need to do some research, was hoping if I get a sling/carrier, I can use this for new baby, and Riley can still use the pram, just to avoid buying a double which will hardly be used as I don't exactly walk much!

That's kind of what we've done, I didn't want a double to lug around! L usually rides on the buggy board (but I guess Riley's too small for that) but I have the carrier if she wants to go in the pushchair instead of E. It's handy when we're just nipping to the shops or something too; rather than getting our the pushchair I just put E in the carrier and L walks. It's great for feeding hands free while out shopping and stuff too.

A woven wrap is your best option. It can be use from newborn up until you cant carry your toddler around anymore!! LOL!! But they are much more than a moby, and the cheaper ones like a bbslen start at around $90, and go up from there.
