Hello there! I got a BFP yesterday morning at 7am, it will be my first as well and that makes me 5 weeks too And it was not planned but it was not a complete surprise either, did not test till a week late though because I didn't want another false alarm. I'm loving the forums because it is a way of chatting to ladies before spilling the news to my friends hehe.
Have you had any symptoms yet??
Also congratulations on your little bean! How are you feeling about it all?

Yeah ive been having extreme tiredness i just wanna sleep all day also achey pain down my legs and bad heartburn also getting very spotty.

To be honest im still in shock but excited at the same time.

unfortunately my sister is not very happy with me so that a bit hard.. she is due her baby next month xx

Oh I feel your pain with the tiredness! It hasn't hit me that badly yet but it's starting and I know it will get worse hehe. I have VERY tender breasts and the nausea is already happening every day for me, I always new I'd be a nauseous pregnant lady though because I get nauseous at the drop of a hat! haha
Also from about 3 days till my period was due, till I was almost a week late, I didn't have any bleeding but I got cramps that were a little different to AF coming.. it was sort of a looong cramp, steadily increasing for about a minute and then wouldn't feel one for a while again, did you cramp at all?

Aww how come your sister isn't happy? Surely it's wonderful your babies will be reasonably close in age? Little cousins

yeah i did have alot of cramping still do get them i cant do alot atm cause it does travel down my thighs.

I think my sisters jelouse because she thinks im gonna get all the attention and her lil one would be left out, she also dont think i would be able to cope :/

Ouch.. that sounds difficult, I haven't experienced that yet but I'll let you know if I do. My pregnant friend who's nearly due, had that in her hips and thighs from early on and she was in a class doing antenatal Yoga and she said it completely got rid of it, so maybe you could try that or get a dvd or something

Ohh I see.. well there will be a big enough gap between your and her babies birth that hers will get all the cooing and smothering and then it will calm down a bit and then it will be your turn And I suppose all you can do is prove to her how well you're going to cope.. don't let her get you down, this is a magic time in your life that you've chosen to go for and you may as well love every second now!

Can I ask if dad/partner is around? You don't have to say publically if you'd rather not of course.

Welcome Bumblebee! And congratulations on your pregnancy I've felt really good today, had a long hard day at work and haven't had many symptoms, except if I touch my breasts they HURT and if I go too long without eating I feel nauseous hehe, I'm absolutely loving being pregnant :')

Today I've had slight stretching pains in my stomach, I'm the same nauseous if I don't eat regularly & my breast ache & feel full. I'm also feeling very tired now

I'm Loving being pregnant too looking forward to getting further & having a bump but at the same time, I'm not looking forward to next few weeks as morning sickness should be setting in xx

Trying to arrange an appointment with the doctor for Wednesday, although I'm wondering whether to just call the local midwives directly.. any thoughts?

I would contact you midwife directly, i havent had any contact from my midwife yet which is annoying went to the doctors today to see whats happening she said i should be contacted soon.


Ive had the most painfulest headaches ever recently all followed by the continous tiredness still, the nausea creeping in much more. hence why i havent spoken much, my breast are more sore and sensitive, im sweating so much at night i wake up soaked. my nose is stuffed and i have heartburn most of the time aswell as back ache and painful hips. the symptoms for me are at full whack lol

I contacted the midwife straight away it was the best way she's booked in our first appointment and due to previouc miscarriages booked us an early scan and put us at ease straight away! So I'd consider phoning your midwife direct yes

The stretching as a bit like cramps but felt a big like a pulling sensation in the muscles would be the best description I could think of it was so strange lol xx

You know.. I think I may have had some stretching feelings this evening.. I was worried they were cramps and then I was like, hang on.. these feel different!

Congrats!! I got my first bfp sunday morning,took another test monday morning-bfp! and then went to the clinic to confirm it-also got a bfp!! My EDD is June 12th 2014..since it is after midnight..its officially tuesday morning lol which makes me 4 weeks and 5 days!!
