Hi guys ive always worked part time while my young kids are at school but was made redundant 2 years ago and have been temping ever since. Im finding it really difficult to find a wee part time job while the kids are at school and its causing lots and lots of arguments at home. How much would i get on the 'dole' if i stopped working?? I get £120 per week working 15 hours (temping) and its due to end any week now, and i am looking for around 16 - 20 hours a week to be able to pay off my part of the morgage - im so stressed and dont know what to do for the best. Going back full time isnt an option as 1 - id miss the kids growing up too much and 2, id just be paying all my wages out in childcare ?? its so hard to know whats the best thing to do. any help or advice is greatly welcomed. I live in Newtownabbey and do admin work so if any good person out there knows anybody looking for someone with 18 years office experience - tell them about me

confused and baffled is an under statement xxxxx

You can consider virtual assistance jobs or other online opportunities that allow you to work from Home and pay decent money as well. If you are looking for working from home, then you can consider the following
1. Writing
2. Online surveys
3. Med transcription
4. Selling on ebay
5. Virtual assistant jobs

I agree that there are many scam companies that offer work from home. But there are also many legit companies which offer real work from home opportunities. The best way to differentiate a legit company from scammers is to check if a company asks you to pay for hiring you. Companies that ask you to pay a fee to get hired are scammers for sure.

I don't think you'd be entitled to sign on for benefits (JSA, income support) if you have an OH who works.

Have you applied at you're local supermarkets? Especially now for the run up to Christmas. You are best to go on to their own websites and click on "careers" as they usually only advertise internally.
