So I work Sunday's, Monday's and Tuesday's, we pay childcare for weekdays and OH has LO on Sunday's while I'm at work.
It costs me over £7.50 in fuel to get to work and I pay £2.50 parking and £3.25p/h for the childminder and it's usually for 8/9 hours. So say £82 a week just for me to be able to work. Last month I earned £220... month before that, £330. I am in a commission only job, and it is getting harder to earn more as people have less money to spend.
I need a job, I live in the middle of nowhere, there aren't any jobs around here, bar forklift truck driving which I can't do and any other jobs require me to drive to the nearest towns which costs money in fuel.
I'm completely stuck, I'd like another job as I'm losing my passion for this one due to the lack of earnings but if we stay where we are I'd be paying out for fuel which would take any earnings after childcare.
My OH earns under the CTC limit, would we be better off if I just didn't work and we claimed CTC? We get a bit to cover stuff, but it's a grand total of £18 a month!
I'm not sure what to do really, I'd like to work from home, I am in the process of setting up a business but I need money to buy a few more things before I can really go for it... but I'm losing money by working!
Any ideas? Anything I can do to raise a bit of extra cash?
