Okay, so watched this week's episode... the one with young Jacob and MIB?

So they explain who "Adam and Eve" were from the 1st season and the stones. But I find that they've now had a bunch more questions pop up. Who the F is Claudia? What in god's green earth was The Light? Where were Jacob and MIB's real mother coming from?

So many questions! Still a bit confused about the Adam and Eve bit though. Does this mean that the smoke monster isn't MIB but just took on his form? So the conversation we saw at the end of last season was Jacob and smoke monster? And when Richard came to the island as well?

That's what I was thinking as well. The MIB went down into the light and the Smoke Monster was created?

I think it was the reaction of MIB going into the tunnel that created the smoke monster. Otherwise at the end of last season it wouldn't have mattered how much MIB wanted to kill Jacob, he could.

Although, does that mean Hurley is a candidate to replace Smokey? Considering they both see dead people?

i havent watched this weeks yet but..... doesnt locke say at some point, the when he can face to face withthe smoke monster in series 1 he saw a light and it was beautiful??? just a thought...

Oooh you might be right, an excuse for me to rewatch season 1! In fact, I probably could do all 5 seasons before the finale lol!

I don't think that was Season 1. I want to say it was Season 3, right after/before Mr Eko died? Cuz didn't he tell Locke that he was "next", but when Locke saw it, it left him alone?

Yer it might have been, but in season 1 didnt he stay behind a stre the smoke monster out. everyone thought he was dead but nothing more was ever said about it until season 3 then just now.

That was back from Season One when they were investigating the caves to live in. They came across the corpses and Jack mused that they would've been there for a long time.

Its from S1/Ep 6 "House of the Rising Sun"

Yer it happened cos i remember at the time thinking that the rocks were good and evil.... shows the writers always had a plan and there not just making it up as they go along like i sometimes think. xx

I always thought that too, Helen. Then I saw an interview where they said they always envisioned LOST having a beginning, middle and end. I think that's when they announced that the 6th season would be the last one?

I just don't know if they felt that 6 season was their original goal, or if 3 were or if 10 were.
