LOST: The Final Chapter - discussion/theory thread! **May Contain Spoilers!**

I loooove Lost!! There is a theory that the "flash forwards" arent actually of the future but are actually "side flashes" of an alternate reality!

BUT here are a few of my bugs about the few episodes of season 6 so far...

Why was Desmond on the plane?! He was never on Oceanic flight 815!
And why was Shannon (Boone's sister) not on the plane?!

I like the idea that the black smoke is the devil and Jacob is god!

It could be like Fringe with the alternate reality, I am sure its the same writers as Fringe!

Do we know how many episodes there will be?
At this rate it will need to be about 100 to get all the answers!

Did anyone else wonder why Jack seemed to know Desmond on the plane, but when he was talking to Locke after they landed, it was as if they didn't know each other? Or maybe that was just me.....!!

Fringe is written by the same people who do lost. I was wondering about Desmond too as he shouldn't have been on the flight. I can't wait till tomorrow

Another thing I noticed was...they all seemed as though they would have been better off going to the island! Well, the main characters anyway...

In the flashes of them when the plane landed in LA, they all seemed miserable...Jack lost his dad, Kate was on the run, Locke was still in a wheelchair, Sun and Jin were unhappy...

It seems as though they are better off on the island! x x x

there is a thing on Anytime atm aswell, its Series 1-5 of LOST done on stage by Shakespeare company all within 10 minutes!!

Did anyone else on the plane speak to/notice Desmond? Or was it just Jack?

We've been told before that there's something special about Desmond - that "the rules don't apply to him"

Yeah thats true so he did!!

My OH had a good theory last nite, Im gonna TRY explain it!

Okay, so you know when Juliette was banging the bomb to make it go off and then she said "it worked".Well, that was in the 70s wasnt it?! So...say the bomb did go off...the island would have been destroyed...which would explain why in the clips where everyone was on the plane, the island was under water!! So...if the island was under water, Desmond would have never gone to the island & therefore COULD have been on the plane!! If the bomb did go off in the past then there would be no need for anyone to push the button (because the island isnt there) which means that no one would have missed pushing the button causing the explosion which then explains why the plane did not crash!

Doesnt explain why there is 2 of everyone but hey, I thought my OH was quite clever! x x x

Also, we don't know what year they are in now. Juliet said it worked and they went to that temple place, but that could be in 1970 or now?? As Jacob was killed by Locke/black smoke-thingy and then told Hurley (after the bomb) that he was dead and the Locke/black smoke-thing was with sun & the pilot who were still in the present day.

I so can't wait till tonight, bet it doesn't answer any of our questions though. I have been buying lost on dvd so after this series has finished i can watch them all from the start again i might understand it second time round

I might start buying them too! I did want to buy the big massive boxset at the end of it all but I think that will probably be quite pricey!!

I am saving the whole of this series on my SKY+ so I can rewatch it again as soon as its finished!!!
