MacBooks -why?

Agree, Macs are amazing.
I've used one for 8 years and had my macbook for 6 years (and it's still going strong! Only one small crack on the keyboard!!)

As a photographer I use it because all the Photoshop quick keys are geared towards mac usage. Makes things 1000x quicker.

Though I do want a new one....

I have the MacBook Air, as well. I do a lot of writing projects, so I love that I can escape to a cafe and have this lovely, lightweight thing to take along.
As for the compatibility issues between workplace files and mac files, I solved all that by getting the microsoft office for mac suite. Easily done.
And I really appreciate how durable and longlasting macs are, too! Our desktops have lasted five years on average, and this little Air is going on two years with massive use and never a problem.
