Madison or Madeline?

I have been thinking about little girl names and I want to call my daughter (if I have one) Maddie but I don't want that to be her actual name. So I am thinking that Madeline sounds really cute but then I found out that Maddie can also be short for Madison so now I am stuck

Also, how does Madison Emily or Madeline Emily sound? Boyfriend came up to me last night and asked if I liked Emily for a middle name...was one of his aunts name or something. I don't personally like it but am thrilled that he is actually brainstorming baby names for a girl so I can't turn him down and make him feel left out.

Aww thanks I think Madison is cute too but I am going to be so tore when it comes time to decide. Plus the nickname Maddie is just way to cute!

Actually my fave is Madelyn Emily (but i know that's not one of your choices)

I like Madeline too... but prefer Madison

I think they all sound good with Emily as a middle name... tell your OH he did good

I have also seen the spelling Madisyn... which is a pretty twist!

I like Madison Emily its a lovely name, Madison goes a bit better than Madeline as to me Madeline Emily sounds like too many L's even though theres only two lol, but to me sounds a bit tongues twistery lol xx

I like Madeline best! If you're pronouncing it Madelyn you might prefer that spelling which is really cute too!

I have a Madelyn with a middle name of Grace. I was in 2 minds of either Madelyn Grace or Maddison Grace but when I first looked at her she just looked like a Madelyn iykwim.

Maddison is alot more popular than Madelyn - something to think about

i like the name Madison, and like the others have said when shortened to Maddie, its very cute! ... If we had a girl, that's the name my OH would have picked too!

I prefere Madeline, but I think Madison goes better with Emily. In any case, both are great names!
