MakeUp Tips Group*Celeb Pics pg 11*

I got MAC knock offs on Ebay for 11 bucks. Well, I dunno if they're knock-offs but the girl said its from the same manufacturer, all the same sizes, just doesn't have MAC branded on it  So whatever, i got 18 brushes for 11 bucks a year ago and they're fine by me.

Edit: I also have almost all of the Quo brushes from Shoppers as well but don't use them often.

I have a Quo blush brush which I never use bc it sheds SO bad! I washed it tonight again in hopes it will stop shedding!

Boo to shedding brushes!!

If you are buying brushes @ Shopper's Drug Mart, I would say go for the Annabelle brushes, I don't have a blush brush from them but I do have an angled brush and a shader brush from them and they're both good- they haven't shed on me etc and I think they are under $15, I may have paid $11 I think for each, and I'm sure they have a blush brush! :)

hi ladies, just found this thread and i looooooove make up eventhough it can b a pain at times. i use mica bella wich can b used as eye shadow/liner, in lip gloss or nail polish and gel for your hair. its a powder like the MAC pigments. it usually blends pretty good.
i also use there foundation and blush and eye primer.
usually though i will have some ugly red spots from breaking out and wont have concelier so i just use a tiny bit of the eye primer and rub it in....
my eyes NEVER come out the same because they r shaped differnt and i dont know what to do about that ,it bugs me all day! i will have to try the light color in the corners of the eyes and just not do liner on the top............
i HATE false eyelashes...maybe if i could put them on i would like them

I just bought L'Oreal's colour of hope palette...the Petals of Promise one. LOVE IT. It has every colour I wanted for the fall in it.

Ooooo I LOVE the looks of those colour!!! I think I might head over to shoppers tomorrow and pick one up!!
I used to be HUGE into makeup but then LeeAnne came along and I just didn't bother! Now that she can entertain herself I find myself playing around and wearing makeup out again! :happydance:
Does anyone have any recomendations for uneven skin?! I have TERRIBLE skin, have some scars from teen acne, as well as some light rosacia (sp?) so I find any type of coverup looks cakey and weird :(

Givenchy do really good foundations but they can be a bit more on the expensive side they are about 25 pounds i think xxx

Just wanted to say thanks for posting the link to MissChievous on YouTube as she's got a tutorial which shows how to do cats eyes with liquid liner properly...! I never knew where to start the flick but you can actually see it really well in her vid

I've asked for some MAC stuff for xmas so I'm quite excited... Only use cheap stuff usually and don't bother with primer, concealer, finishing powder etc etc lol

I've never even curled my lashes before so should be interesting!!

(and altho you might not think it from the above, I love love love my make-up but I've only ever used the basics!)

Yeah her tutorials are great shes amazing to watch. Primers, concealers and powders make so much difference you should give them a go . MAC is brill makeup  xxx

Has anyone actually bought from Lauren Luke's makeup line?

Nope! I actually don't really like her and her makeup doesn't look like anything fancy or special at all!

Edit-the one thing that I do like is how everything for 1 look is in the palette! And the packaging is really nice.

I guess this makeup whore should be here too. LOL

I must admit, I am forever buying foundation and never can find the right one. With carrying Chase around, it will rub off and looks like I am not wearing any within a few hours.

Estee Lauder Double Wear is fab! I just bought it last week and I am a fan! Stays on all day and even with my somewhat oily T-zone, the shine doesn't come through.

I will be back as I need tips on eye makeup. I used to get compliments all the time about my eye color and now because of age, etc. my eye color doesn't shine through anymore.

I do like the white eyeliner tip and just may try that as it seems my eyes are looking smaller than what they used to be.

Actually, do need some advice. What is the best concealer or makeup tip for fine lines under the eyes?

I have dark blue circling the color portion which is green. Sometimes the green looks yellowish. LOL

My eye color green pops out more when I have bloodshot eyes. haha

Okay well try using a palette of purple. Purple brings out green because its the contrasting colour. My eyes are green too and when I want them to pop out a lot I faithfully use purple. Use the purple, dust a light colour in the corner of your eyes, and use white on your water line. Also, this isn't makeup, but if you put on a purple scarf you'll get the same effect :) I have a bunch of scarves but I stick normally to a light green and a royal purple just for those effects. Neutral eyeshadows will do nothing for green!!

I do use plum eyeshadow more often than not but I think it's my eyeliner...black is too dark. Or maybe it's that I need the white liner in the water line. :)

Will definitely have to try it.

Rae I tried to find that eyeshadow quad @ Shoppers tonight with no luck :( :( Boo!!

Tasha I wasn't able to find the quad either! Boo :(

Oh that sucks :(

Ahhh that may be your problem Leanne. I stopped wearing black eyeliner, or real eyeliner in general. Try getting an eyeliner brush and using either your deepest plum or brown eyeshadow as a liner!!

I use Urban decays concealer stick it covers any darkness under the eyes really well i find concealer sticks are better than liquid concealers but if you want to minimise fine lines i would reccommend a face primer you can get ones that will reduce the appearence of fine lines we do one on urban decay but other brands do them too some our good for maturer skins , also avoid using any powder under the eye area as this picks up on any fine lines and makes them stand out even more , hope this helps x

yep try a white, alot of people just stick to black but on some people it can look to dark and close the eyes even more, a white brightens the eyes and opens them xx

edit: if you still wanted a bit of black liner on your eyes instead of going into the rim of your eye just use a bit on the bottom lash line on the outer edge this will keep your eyes wide x
