Making bottles for when you go out?

At McDonald's (where I work) you can ask for hot water in a cup. Have it filled about half way. People just put the bottle with prepared formula in it into the cup with the water to warm it up.. and it's free:)

My question is, if you're out for a walk at the park or something and need to feed the baby.. how do you keep the bottle warm- there's nowhere to warm it there? Stick it under your arm pit? LOL. But seriously..

You get the Fisher Price flask like I have and use that to heat the bottle up instead! ;)

We saw a couple with a young baby with one of these on the day I had my 20 week scan - me and OH didn't know what the hell it was, so OH asked the Daddy.....they are a great idea and it only cost us £10.99 in Mothercare.

When I had my son and duaghter, there was nothing like that on the market, so I just used to take a couple of ready made at home bottles out with me and hope they didn't winge if they had to have a cold bottle lol!

If Olivia is going to feed more than 4 hours afte we leave home, I take a carton & a sterilised bottle. If it's less than 4 hours, I make the bottle up, then take it in the insulated pocket on our change bag.
According to my hv, the bottle is ok to use for up to 4 hours once it comes out of the fridge.........I don't know how accurate this is, but I'm trying to stick by that whilst Olivia is still so young.

The new advice is do not make up until you need. But I work in a nursery and we are NOT allowed to make them up? They are placed in fridge as baby arrives and used from there. once they are HEATED ... THEN they shouldn't be used after an hour. but until its been reheated its fine for 24 hours afaik. My S-mother used to make up enough for 24 hours, and warm when needed

We usually find coffee places and ask for some hot water but if we were out in a park etc. I'd probably take a thermos of hot water and a cup. You could put the hot water and bottle in the cup to warm it
