Oh and on FB this is me - https://www.facebook.com/KittyVentura?ref=tn_tnmn xx
Okay I'm about to ask the stupidest question ever, try not to make fun of me too bad
Does a higher file/image size mean a better/higher quality picture? For example I currently have my camera set to take 2048x1536 images which is 3 megapixels it says, but it goes all the way up to 4288x3216 (14 megapixels). However those huge ones are like 3 MB + on my computer which is huge and I don't want them taking up a ton of file space. I've tried resizing it on my computer but it seems to make the pictures worse when you zoom in. Should I take the largest size picture and then resize it with that picmonkey photo editor which makes the size less than 1MB but doesn't seem to affect the quality.
Ugh I'm so useless at this whole thing.
I hope we can do more than one photo! I think OH was screwing around with my settings on the camera because unless I somehow got worse, I didn't get many pictures I was happy with. I'm going to do another photoshoot on Tuesday or Friday when OH is home and see if I get better results but I will submit the pictures I liked!
This one isn't the best in terms of quality, but it's my favourite. He's just so friggin' cute!!
I wish I could help Poppy.. but I have no actual idea.. Bought my camera ages ago..
Here's a valentines test shot.. I was trying to see how the lighting would be in this room.. But I ended up liking this shot (it's a bit blurry as she was.. throwing a fit..)

I've bought a Canon 350d slr so hopefully I'll be reporting back soon with some photos to share :thumbp: It's only an entry level dslr but should be great for me to start with
Great pics, Poppy. Love the one of them kissing.
As for attaching bigger pics: I upload mine to Photobucket and then paste the image link on here.
I am not exactly a pro myself , but I think you need to just get out and have fun with your camera and see what works for you and what doesn't. I like cropping my pics a little to make my subject stands out a bit more. And try to keep an eye on what you want to focus on. Like the cupcake one: It seems to focus on the paper casing of the front cupcake. It might be an even better shot if the focus was on the actual cake/icing part of that cupcake.
Just my thoughts, but I am sure there will be some more qualified/experienced ladies replying to you shortly.
