*mangotango's* TWW Buddies with BFPs Due March 2014 (Everyone Welcome)!!

Amber - CJ is a really cute name! Wow, 4 lbs is not bad at all! Are you showing at all yet? I hope you get your appetite back really soon.

Moolia - That's adorable that you have such a big bump! Aww! I'm glad you're able to be public with it now too. Have people been very supportive? Do you have any other children?

Yes I have a little boy who's nearly 2. He's keeping me busy! ;) I've told him our baby is in mummy's tummy and he pats it and says babby. So sweet! People have been lovely in general, apart from my boss who hasn't even acknowledged my pregnancy, even though I emailed her almost 2 weeks ago!! It's funny though because I'm still getting my head around the fact I'm pregnant so it feels very strange when people congratulate me! Ha ha!

That is so weird about your boss ignoring your pregnancy announcement. What a bizarre way to deal with it! How long of a mat leave can you get where you live?

That is so sweet about your little boy already knowing there's a "babby" in your tummy. He sounds like a real cutie!

I'm sure you'll get very used to the congratulations soon! ;) It's going to get very real - fast!

Well I just got a huge blow today. A merger has occurred and my company is letting go most of us by next Friday. Next friday!!!!! I am trying to stay positive for the health of my baby but depending on my SO's income...is going to be challenging. Keep us in your prayers. I may not be on the boards for awhile; just trying to digest the severilty of the situation at this point.

Wow Amber I am so sorry to hear this ... I will keep you in my thoughts and yes definitely try not to stress over it !

Wow, that is terrible news, Amber! I am so sorry to hear that. What line of work are you in? Are there usually a lot of job postings for your type of work? I hope you can find something else ASAP. I know we would never survive on my husband's income so I can imagine you are very stressed. Definitely try not to worry too much; your baby will thank you for taking a calm approach to this! I will pray you find a better job soon and that you can survive on one income until then!

Prayers must have been heard because it looks like I may be extended until the end of the year. Not permanent as of yet but still better than losing my job and benefits next week.
I work for NBC.

Wow!
A) So cool that you work for NBC! What do you do there?
B) That is amazing that your job was extended at least until the end of the year! At least now you have time to look!

Amber, I am so glad to hear that you can stay at your current job until the end of the year. That is good news! It will give you time to look for something new. Keeping you in my thoughts!!! :hugs:

On another topic if I may: How is everyone doing? It has been a little quiet around here.
I just wanted to share with you all that we will find out the sex of Lo #2 next Saturday. That will be September the 21st. :happydance: We can hardly wait!!!

That's very exciting that you find out the gender in a week already! That is fairly early on to do the scan - I hope the baby is willing to show his/her parts for you! That is so great and you must be very excited!

Amber - so sorry to hear about your work but glad they are keeping you on for now.

Cloe - majorly exciting stuff! Can't wait to hear what you are having!

I had a bit of a rough couple of days. Had bleeding on sat night - wasn't loads but enough to make me completely freak out, especially as I never had any bleeding with my previous pregnancy so was convinced something was wrong. Anyway, ended up going to hospital on sat morning and had a scan which showed baby is fine thank goodness! Also heard babies heartbeat for first time - forgot how amazing that sound is! :) I had to go to a&e because unless you're over 16 weeks they won't see you in maternity! So I was at the hospital from 9 until 3!! Most of that time was spent waiting for an anti d injection as I'm rhesus negative! Was emotionally exhausted but feeling better after a good nights sleep and hubby let me have a lovely lay in this morning :)

Fingers crossed for no more dramas in this pregancy please!! X

Sorry for late reply! I STILL haven't had an acknowledgement from my boss! It's been 2.5 weeks since my email!

I can take up to a year mat leave with last 3 months of that unpaid. I did that with ds - so nice to spend a lot of time with the baby before going back. This time I'm only going back for the time needed to repay my maternity pay and then I'm leaving! If we can afford it I will take some time off work until baby number 2 starts pre school. But I'm not sure if we can yet!

How are you doing? X

Hi ladies ! Just checking in on everyone :)
Looks like there is all kinds of stuff happening !!
Glad to hear that everything has worked out well for everyone.. Can't wait to hear some more updates !!!

Moolia- that is amazing that you might get to stay home for a couple years once you've worked Long enough to repay mat leave. I hope you are able to do that! My goal in life is to be a SAHM.

I am ok. AF got me this month so newlyweds and I are trying again this cycle! Hopefully it is our month.

Hi everyone.

I'm afraid things aren't going so well for me at the moment.

I had some bleeding late last Friday night and went to a & e on Saturday morning. They checked baby and said all was fine and I had an anti d injection as I am rhesus negative. I went home and the bleeding was spotting by now and had stopped by Sunday morning.

Then on Monday afternoon I had some more bleeding. It was only light but I went to my GP anyway, who referred me for an ultrasound.

I went for the ulstrasound last night and the sonographer was extremely surly and negative. She said the baby has grown and heartbeat is normal but the baby was upside down all curled up and not moving much. She was concerned about this and also very concerned that there is not enough fluid around the baby.

We waited for hours in labour ward and eventually a doctor gave me an internal examination and said my cervix looked closed and there were no obvious signs of leaking fluid.

I have to go back for another scan in a week and if the fluid is still low then I have to have a detailed specialist scan to see if they can find the cause. Apparently the cause is usually either something wrong with the baby, e.g. kidneys not functioning properly, or placenta not working properly. Neither sounds great.

Please send positive thoughts and prayers to me and my baby girls

Oh Moolia! I am so sorry to hear this. I will keep you and your little one in my thoughts. Hoping so so bad that everything turns out well for you!!! Sending you lots of healthy vibes and big hugs!!! :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Moolia - That is incredibly scary and I am so sorry you're going through this. I know the lurching feeling of having bleeding during pregnancy and it is not a good feeling at all. :(

The positives are that your baby is still there, growing, and with a heartbeat! That is good your cervix is closed, and you have a lot of positives going for you. I know it must be hard to be positive at this point, but you have a lot in your favour!

I hope that your next scan in a week shows a totally healthy baby and maybe the baby was just feeling lazy last time they checked. Either way, I do hope all goes well and that your baby will be okay. No one wants something to be wrong with her baby, and I'm sure you must be very scared. I will be praying for your baby to be okay and for you to be able to stay brave and positive! :hugs:

Thanks ladies. I am very grateful for your support. I am doing my very best to stay positive, as I know that is best for the baby, plus I am making sure I rest, drink lots and generally look after my self. At least it's something to concentrate on.

I've heard mixed reports on forums about people drinking a lot to increase the fluid, so I'm holding out hope that will be the case for me and all will be well. It's such a scary time though but what will be will be and there's no point in worrying as there's nothing I can do until after the next scan. Well that's what I keep telling myself anyway!

Yes, that is very true. You can't do anything except just take care of yourself at this point. Try to just rest and take it easy. :hugs:

Cloe - what time is your scan? It's 9pm here so I'm probably going to have to wait until my tomorrow to find out whether you've got a pink or blue bundle!

I've been scheduled to have my next scan on Tuesday morning so will know more about the fluid etc then.

Hope all you ladies are well. Haven't heard from some of you in a while?!

Ooh, yes, can't wait to hear about Cloe's scan!

Good luck keeping yourself distracted until Tuesday! I hope it goes quickly for you and that you get some reassurance. :)
