March...Hoping for some Irish luck to bring us little Charms

Hi ladies! Joining the new thread!

A little about me for any newbies to our group. Welcome! I'm 29, TTC for 15 months now, although the last few I've had to take off due to medical issues. I've had the whole workup (hormone tests, HSG, etc.) and no known problems. Hubby has still not had a SA.

A week and a half out of my surgery (D&C w/ polypectomy, LEEP to remove sever dysplasia on cervix) I'm doing well. After feeling like we HAD to BD so much in the last few months, now we're unable to for 3 weeks so I can heal, although it will end up being more like 5 due to AF ending right before the surgery and coming right after I'm healed up...grr!

You ladies seem to all be in exciting times in your cycles!
Beaglemom...glad you got a positive OPK! Excited to see how this next IUI works out! Sending shamrock shaped baby dust your way!!
Savvy...your chart is looking AWESOME! When do you plan on testing?
Floridasian...so sorry for your loss and your wait. Looks like we are both sitting around with the clock ticking while our bodies heal. It's frustrating, huh!

I was wondering if any of you ladies used essential oils? Or if you have heard of anyone having success? I have been getting interested in them as I have been just trying to do everything I can to get my body into tip top baby carrying shape while I can't actually try! I have also been doing yoga almost every weekday for the last few weeks at the local YMCA and am feeling so great! I would really like to work some cardio in to reach my body shape goals, but for now I'm going with something I really enjoy and is a good, gentle workout for mind and body!

Hugs to all!

I loved doing Yoga...I actually did hot yoga. I stopped going as often so I cancelled my Y membership. Now I really need to be working out, but with TTC, I have been putting it on hold.

Last month my timing was off for the IUI...I really don't want that to happen again. I will test again around 3 & see what it says...so frustrating. But I had to test earlier to get the appt with the clinic for the sample. They close at 1:30. So I will hope for a clear pos this afternoon...if not I will be calling my dr office back & looking like a lunatic!

savvy - your temps look good but it looks like your LP is on the short side based on your last cycle. Have you tried taking anything to lengthen it?

I just started taking vitamin B6, so it might be too late for it to really help this cycle. I never tracked my cycles before, just how long they were. I never felt like I had a + opk when I just took them once a day so I would "guess" I ovulated. I switched doctors when I had the m/c (long story) and the new doctor didn't see a reason to test either of us and told me I just needed well timed sex between CD7-12 and not to worry about opks, temps, etc. Well if I listened to him I wouldn't have had a chance since I O'd so late both cycles.

I am still on clomid 50 mg. Now I took another opk & I am second guessing myself

If I do another one this afternoon & it doesn't look positive, I may call & ask to reschedule.

Oh no! I sure hope you get a blazing positive this afternoon. Post a pic if you want a few extra eyes.

I don't have any experience with essential oils for fertility (I did it for beauty treatments years ago when I was really into but grew out of it quickly), but I've been doing a castor oil pack before my fertility massage. It's supposed to draw out toxins, release scar tissue and possibly open up blocked tubes. The fertility massage helps with circulation and toning of the uterus. One of the last ultrasounds I had before the mc showed that there was no blood flow to the fetus so I'm trying to do everything I can to help more blood flow to the uterus as well.

I also started a femoral massage yesterday - putting a medicine ball on the floor and position the femoral artery over it to temporarily cut off blood circulation to the legs and encourages/re-directs it to the uterus. I'm hoping this will help with my thin lining as well. Although my RE thinks the thin lining was caused by the scar tissue. With the scar tissue being gone (fingers cross it's now gone) it should be able to go back to normal by next cycle. My first post D&C AF was not any heavier than before so it's a sign that the lining was still on the thin side.

Thursday...if I can make it that long!

I am sorry your plans got put on hold but glad to hear that you are healing. That should help with ttc. I have always wanted to try yoga but never have, it is good you are taking a short break and preparing your body the best you can. Keep us posted on your status, I hope you recover quickly!

Yeah, yoga has been great...Savvy you should try it! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you...Thursday's only 2 days away!

Beaglemom, I remember what an awful time you had with your IUI timing last time...I'm sure this time will be better!

Thanks Floridasian for your answer. Where did you find your massage specialist? I have been interested in fertility massage or acupuncture, but not sure where to start to find someone who's not a quack! LOL

Sara, I'm doing a self fertility massage at home. I found some videos on youtube that I found was pretty good. Then DH bought me a full length video (on Amazon I think) for Valentine's Day and I've been doing that instead. It's pretty similar to the free ones on youtube but it also includes a reflexology (foot massage) in addition to the abdominal massage which I found useful because you aren't supposed to do the abdominal one after you ovulate (in case you're pregnant) and during AF but I think the foot massage should be safe throughout the cycle!

Ahhhhhhhh this tww seems so long! Im only 6dpo, not even half way there! I am really trying not to make up symptoms but I definitely feeling a heaviness and slight cramping. Last night dh dreamt i gave birth to a baby boy, and he isnt crazy like me from tcc!

Savvy when are you going to test?

Beaglemom i hope you get a good opk soon so you are not doubting yourself. And that you get perfect timing for the iui.

Anyone seen any good movies lately?

Thanks Floridasain! I'll have to check that out!

Curlymikes...I realized while watching the Oscars that I have seen, like, NO movies this year!! And they all looked so good! It's hard for hubby and I to agree on movies, he loves scifi/zombie apocalypse movies, no matter how crappy they are, and I go for the more sophisticated, critically acclaimed movies--extra points for foreign or indies. So, we don't make it to many, or take turns choosing.

I did forget, I meant to tell you guys DH said the other day when he was putting a patient under to do a procedure on her heart, a strange thing happened. He thought she was totally out, and she woke up and looked straight at him and said, "How many daughters do you have?" Then went back to sleep. Crazy, huh? We were both kind of excited, even though it's just a superstitious thing, it's still cool! Maybe soon he will have an answer to that!!

I agree curlymikes! I almost tested a few hours ago, but I reminded myself I need to wait. I am waiting until Thursday, I would test tomorrow but I have a big job due in the morning and I don't want to obsess over tests since it will delay me. Plus I see a lot of girls get early bfps on CD9.

When are you going to test?

Fx'd for some bfps! :)

I don't think I can upload a photo, but the opk from 3:30 does not seem quite positive. I texted it to my husband & he agreed. I am using my work computer. Is there a way to upload a photo through mobile? So I left a message with the nurse. I am thinking it needs to be postponed until at least Thursday. I also did not get a peak today & after some searching it seems your peak comes the same day as a pos opk. Anyone have experience with the clear blue monitor who can shed light on that? Either way, I plan to test again tomorrow morning. I will keep you posted. The good news is I have Thurs & Fri to get in the office.

As far as movies, I usually am watching tv shows on Netflix. And I find a lot of random movies on there that aren't necessarily recent. I did just go see Catching Fire in our $1 movie theatre. I LOVED those books. I actually think I may reread them before the last movies come out.

I am not sure how to upload a pic through mobile, but it sounds like you are right in postponing the IUI until Thursday. Especially since you O 12-36 hours after a + opk. Good luck with the opks tomorrow, I hope you get your peak on the monitor!

I just need to share what i have been reading on my google search. I found out that the average day for implantation is 9dpo!!! Supposedly the eggy gets to the uterus around 5 to 6 dpo but "floats" around for a few days. I cant believe the average is so late! I knew the range was 6 to 12 days. It seems like so many people get bfps 9, 10, and 11dpo. I thought the average was more like 7dpo. Anyway maybe you all knew that and i am just slow but now i am really going to stop looking for symptoms (at least until 9dpo haha).

I have read the average of 6-12 days for implantation. I also read it could happen earlier or later than that too. It amazes me when people get super early bfps. I try not to symptom spot since most can go either way and I find that i can talk myself into almost any feeling (boobs weren't sore until I started thinking about them, poking them, wondering if they hurt...well of course now they hurt). Of course it never works and I end up symptom spotting after a few days.

Hi ladies!
I am finally logging in after stalking such forums for the past year and a half. This will be my 18th cycle trying, with a minor break after having laparoscopic removal of a uterine fibroid in late September. Since the surgery I've gone from a 33-34 day cycle and am now averaging a 28 cycle and noticed that I O way earlier- went from day 18 to day 10-11!

I used a clear blue advanced OPK this month that does the high and peak (blinking smiley then solid smiley) and ovulated on day 10 according to that. We BD-d day 10 and 11. I had crazy awful back pain cycle day 7 and bad gas/bloating since. Now no symptoms just bloated and starting to feel down again. Tested tonight (totally caved!) and got BFN.

Looking for support! I know it will happen but I'm having one of those nights. That and it seems everyone is popping up pregnant lately! It's bananas!

Will likely be due for AF Saturday. Anyone else???

I think I've read that 9 DPO is the *most* common day of implantation.

When the cbfm starts giving me highs i usually test again at night between 6-9 pm depending on if i am working. I usually get a positive opk at night and then the next am a peak on the monitor. so for me i get a positive ok at night then the next am i get peak. i was told the lh surge happens at night and it highest in the blood between the afternoon and evening.

I tested last night around 8 and still neg. This morning the monitor still says high. I will do another opk in a few hours. It's 4 am now. I will do it around 7 when I get up for work. I feel like I just need to trust the monitor and trust my gut. I think I need to postpone until at least tomorrow...maybe Friday.

Oh my gosh...what a roller coaster I am on. I wonder if I would be so much a nervous wreck if I was being monitored...I think so.

So I was all set to cancel my appt. I did the monitor at 3 & another opk when I woke up for work around 7:30. The opk was negative. So I was just like whatever, we will cancel. But in the back of my head I kept wondering if I did have a pos yesterday & my surge was just super short. And of course I was using another brand so that made me question. So the decision was made. So anyways, I used the bathroom, then took a shower. Which means (not to sound too graphic) I had wiped after the bathroom & washed myself in the shower. After the shower I went to the bathroom again & a HUGE amount of cm was there. Like I haven't even seen this much in a while I don't think. Plus I have not been taking anything to increase it. I also did not have sex last night, so no confusion on what this was. So I also had cramping & back pain last night...still have a bit today. I called the nurse & asked if we could do back to back IUI. She really didn't say too much. She asked about my cycle day & things like that. Then I said oh & I had cm this morning. She very quickly said you need to come on in. So we are still on for today. I am going to continue to test & ask my doctor about the back to back IUI.

Oh & I did not have much cm last month & I haven't really felt a lot of O pain in a few months. So maybe all this is a great sign! Trying to stay positive!!!
