March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

Welcome back, crowned!

Vitfa, hope it was the grapes and just a one-off!

DH left today for a four-day trip. I could have gone but it's a long flight--then last night I found out they sent him first-class. I would totally have gone first class. Boo.

Er 8000 posts!!!!
Yuk FT!!! Yuk! And I'm no expert at napping/sleeping but N hates being woken up...
First class mouse?? Boo!!
Making tomato chickpea and chorizo soup. Not exactly the weather but it's smelling yum!!!

Loo, I’m terrible for staying up when T is already asleep and I know he’s going to wake up! I get so many nights where I could have had hours more sleep than I do! T does like 5 minute feeds but as soon as he starts breaking off/fighting/biting etc. then I take him off and he seems satisfied with that. He possibly has between 8-10 feeds in 24 hours. Mega well done on the weight loss too!

Mitch, I feel awful as I’m often bored. I hate it because I love him giggling and beign sweet but there’s only so many raspberries you can blow in a day. (to the extent where I might have allowed him to fall asleep at 5pm)

WT – your boys are sooooooooooooooooo gorgeous. Loveely big eyes. Love em!

Waula, I’m loving your new avatar.

Welcome back Crowned!

AFM. I entered T in the bonny baby competition here. (inspired by Rs victory!) The photographer loved him as all the other kids near us were fighting and being stressful and taking ages. T sat down where he was meant to, did a GIANT grin. Then moved to where he wanted him for the next one, did a huge grin and a giggle and that was it! He’s so sweet. Then we came home and I gave him a bowl of baby rice which he seemed to love! All smiles and chewing (kind of).

Oh and I went out for dinner last night and had 3 beers! I was WASTED! Food porn… I had salted cod, and a lentil thing with flat bread to start. Then an amazing Caribbean stew and some jerk chicken with LUSH seasoned fries and rice and peas. (I didn’t have two of everything, me and my SIL shared it all!)

OH has an interview! For a job far away, so it would mean him commuting until I finish uni then a massive move to the south coast! GULP

FT personally I'd let G sleep then do the next feed like a night one and try to get him right back down. Accept its going to go slightly off-piste for the night and get back on track in the morning! :hugs:

F pretty much stuck to the routine by the letter today, we'll see what tonight brings! She's currently wolfing an 8oz bottle of ebm. :haha:

Will post that blurb again later once I've picked up my japanese take away!

Think it was just a one off day seems to ve back to normtoday

Soup sounds lovely can you share reciepe waula

X

FT- you know G best, but I have to say that I've found the boys to be incredibly resilient when I've had to wake them from late naps. Because they're in daycare, there are days where they barely nap. (It's bright and sometimes noisy when the other babies are playing.) Anyway... because of that, there have been plenty of times where they've fallen asleep at 6:00 and I've gently woken them up at 6:30 to do a bedtime routine. I find that if they have not had their bedtime bottle, they're generally willing to wake up for it without too much fuss.

Missy- I feel tipsy very easy these days too. It's kind of nice because it makes a single glass of wine seem so much more enjoyable. :haha:

Mouse- Very cheeky of DH to mention the first class seating the night before he left. (Side note: Do you find yourself saying things like cheeky all the time now that we've adopted all these Brits? :haha:)

Food porn: I just had an amazing plate of nachos with loads of cheese, beans, veggies and the most perfect habanero mango salsa ever created. Nom!

I'm so ruddy jealous of the nachos and japanese food!!!! I'm thinking of toast... maybe beans on toast...

I'm naughty and bought white bread AND 4 chocolate eclairs today... And i'm living alone soooooo....

Soup recipe: sweat off a med diced onion in olive oil for 10-15mins then add 2cloves garlic, 2tsp ground cumin, big handful of chopped coriander stalks and some chorizo (or diced chilli) add in 4 carrots chopped, 400g tinned toms and a litre of veg stock and simmer for 20-25mins then blend and add the chopped coriander leaves and zest/juice lime and season to taste. Serving with giant crusty cheesy baps. Nom.
Time to shred. Ugh. Hateful shred. I want my tea and a cake instead.

Hi MsC!

Mitch, iI forgot if i asked you (and if you replied). i'M MEETING OH next tuesday at 12 in somewhere around godalming... No worries if you're busy but maybe if i'm early we could have a cup of coffee (not that you EVER drink coffee in coffee shops ;))

WT, I love the word "cheeky"! I'm always wanting to call people cheeky mares.

FT, if it were G, I'd let her sleep and do our bedtime routine with a feed if she woke up before 9... Otherwise I'd do a night feed without bedtime stuff.

Missy, yay for T in the bonny baby contest. Clearly, he's bonny inside AND out.

Mitch, oh, I wonder if G would have been allowed to go then! To be fair, DH just discovered it yesterday himself.

The dog is going nuts because he's not allowed to sleep under the sink in the bathroom... I'm afraid he'll rub his back and damage his stitches. But he won't stop barking!

yay missey for the bonny baby!

FT - that poop story is discusting

those with sicky babies, have you thought about weaning a little early? i believe it can help a bit

crowned - glad you had a good holiday!

lovely hot sunny day today spent in the park with nct girls and babies, made me really enjoy being on maternity leave, house a total tip though because i have no chores for about 2 weeks

yay waula! Nor have i, instead i've eaten two big chocolate eclairs and tons of toast. That's the same, right?

ha yes! exactly the same :) i've just found frosting from a carrot cupcake I had at lunch on my chin. its been there for 7 hours. oh god.

I wonder how our missing mamas are. I was thinking about blessed the other day. Hope she's ok.

Ha ha ha waula and the frostijg...there must be a nickname there surely hmmmmm

And shame on you two from not doing the shred.....may that soup end up on your hips waula:wacko: (hmmm sounds too healthy)

My dinner sucked...found a tin of tuna and chucked some in....yummy:winkwink:

Missy...i have baby sensory on Tuesday but not til 2pm back in Bagshot so may be able to do something.....hmm need to work around M's napping but she can sleep in car. What time you thinking? I dont know Godalming at all though:shrug:
