March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

Sorry diet queen... I doubt our health conscious Lozza and N had pie and chips...probably shared a lettuce leaf... :haha:

Ps I'm making banana custard souffle. Does that help??! Mwhahaha!!!

Looking like a nap free afternoon. Hoped Z would fall asleep in the car on the way back from pub so told mil to put the sunshade up and ignore him. Heard grunting, then her and FIL talking to him! So he's missed nap time now. Just fed him but he's not fussed today, I'm like rocks though! DH has just told me not to be mardy, should have been clearer apparently. I don't think I could have been more explicit ffs. Grrrrr. Knew this would happen. It's not my fault they got here 2 hours later than expected, just as he was about to sleep! Hiding upstairs to pump now as not I the mood for conversation. Going to iron instead!

Ps, sorry, we both had a huge burger and chips cooked in beef dripping! Then I had raspberry and walnut pavlova, mmmmmm

Oh, and triple post - im well aware I'm being a little on the pathetic side, for some reason they bring out the worst in me, can't help myself!!!

Lol, Waula, I love that he's willing to sit up, just not to bother with all the activity of rolling over!

Loo, hurray for D getting to sleep in her bed! Hopefully she'll get more comfortable with it exponentially.

Thanks for all the video love, everybody. G is just now starting to really giggle and it's so amazing.

Tummy sleeping report: she slept 8-1:30ish, fed/dozed with me, went back to her bed at 3ish and slept until 6:45. She chuntered (my favorite word ever, thanks to Mitch!) for a little at 3 but eventually settled herself.

Also I moved the mattress down one level in the PnP and I wonder if that actually feels cozier to her, to be more contained?

Lozza....Dont worry i wouldnt have been impressed either....and would have been annoyed with OH if that had been me. I.just dont think.they understand....hubby is getting there....slowly after pickibg her up from a single nap and not realising that she actually needs to be left and will resettle for another....so she was understanable narky hmmmm

Lunch sounds amazing though yum yum.

Lozza that's totally legit excuse for ironing - escape of the inlaws!!!! Chortle! Annoying though...and very justifiable. Did Z like the inlaws today?! Fingers crossed for tonight xxx

Lozza, legit moan! I'd have been grumpy too. Hide away! They can't stay forever, right?

Mouse, sounds like a good night to me

Lads, that food porn sounds amazing. I'm having lasagne with a slimming world friendly white sauce. Not the same. I need desert!

Lozza -versus- the Outlaws  I don't think you are being mardy.....just sensible :winkwink:

City - glad you're sister made it eventually :winkwink:

Loo - yay for settling D without picking her up. Maybe she's turning a corner on the sleeping front :hugs:

Waula - J is trying to sit up too and I said to OH I think he will skip rolling and go straight to sitting and then maybe crawl or bum shuffle from there. He can manage about 30 seconds. Me and OH play a game of 'baby left, baby right' It's good for working out who get's a lie in at the weekend

Would be awesome to see NW lads and babies :) mostly I want to see Z's acrobatics, make D sleep, check out G/J chunky thighs, hear E's babbling...and eat CAKE!!! I can defo do cake...and will take requests!!!

Yes, Cake!!!! :cake: no special request from me, although those souffles on FB look amazing!!! He definitely properly crawled today, legs in the right order and everything!

So, Z has been fast asleep in his own cot since half 7 - that's 4.5 hours which is a recent record! And I can't sleep, sods flipping law

Edit - oh well, he just woke up :-(

WTF are our neighbors doing? It sounds like they've literally got a gong or something. I'm all for family fun and I wouldn't ask anyone not to have barbecues outside for Labor Day, but the huge metal-on-metal gonging sound is OTT!

Our house is on a hill, and down at the bottom of the hill is one giant piece of property that just had a house built on it ("just" = for the past two and a half years). And now the people are moved in and I don't think they know how well the sound from their yard travels up the hill.

Anyway, we know the owner's last name, and I'm always tempted to go out on our balcony and yell it out and make him crazy (since there are about 20 house it could be coming from).

Anyhoo. Just a little passive-aggressive revenge fantasy to make me feel better.

Ladies i am misssing march mamas B&B chat - i do like the facebook but i get confused at so many post and no order boohoo.....

have a little question which i put on fbook as well but i may get lost so heres it here

Another weaning question ladies. E is really enjoinning her porridge now but im still struggling to get her to have enough milk. Do you think i should just stick with bfast or should i try her on a light tea ( thinking root veg and introduce some mixed after that). Babies that are weaning are they still having most of their milk ??

Ladies are you guys having a NW meet - i would defo be up for coming down - hubby think would be a good idea for me and E to meet you guys - well thats if you let us haha

L x

Vitfa - I've not started weaning yet but just been re-reading the blw book and it talks about cereals being quite filling, porridge included, vegetables less so. So I don't see why you can't start offering veg too, just continue offering the milk and she'll take what she needs? An antenatal friend thisornong was saying her son is only havin about 200ml a day milk at the moment. He is on 3 meals a day though now but even if she's offering milk first he's just not that fussed.

Seen you post on FB now but yep, would be great to meet you and E!

Oh WT, you have every right to be fully piddled off and what you said to him was spot on. If he's going to adjust his behaviour, he needs to be clear, as men are quite literal, what he does that is unacceptable.

Oh WT I'm sorry hun...I think you're damn right - one thing with an adolescent but quite another with a baby. I know he wouldn't have meant any harm but it's obviously something that you're going to have to talk about...prob when things have cooled down. Big hugs hun xxx daddy's can be stupid sometimes eh xxx
