March Mamas 2012 Baby Group (Closed Group)

Laura, amazing! Fingers crossed they've both got it sorted!

So, weird experience this morning. Not for fb really, plus i'm already been moaning about little miss screamy on there! :dohh:

So i've had period cramps for almost 2 weeks, but no AF still. This morning, i woke up at 6am and went to the loo. As i got back to the bedroom i felt a bit funny, but figured i was just tired and sat back down in the bed., then F woke up so i started to feed her. Suddenly i felt really dizzy and sick, and had really really intense pain. It felt alot like a period cramp, but way way worse. Kind of like my afterpains (which were really bad, they are way worse the 2nd time round) or like a labour pain. It went on for about 3-4 minutes and was horrible, i thought i would either pass out or be sick, and i had to stop feeding F, as it felt like it was making it worse. It was excruciating! Then it stopped and i still felt a bit ill, but went back to feeding F and dozed off. I haven't had it again since, but i also feel uncomfortable and crampy still. I've no idea hwta it was, and was wondering if anyone had had anything like it? I was wondering if it could be a UTI or something? I've had cystitis before, and it wasn't like that, but is a UTI different? Should i see a doctor?

Thanks girls - I've tried every trick in the book but had a sleep counsellor come out last week so I am hoping I have finally cracked it !!

Emera that sounds very odd. I constantly suffer from water infections and that doesn't sound anything like I've ever experienced. A simple urine sample would rule it out though Hun. Xx

Emera, I have no idea, maybe it's still a case of your periods being out of whack? Definitely worth getting a urine test done.

Waula, like Emera I feed E from both sides morning and night with one breast at each feed in between. Glad to hear he's dropping the feed naturally! Edith has had some disturbed nights early on, just not going to sleep until gone nine but then she's still going through until half seven or later. I hope this is her new pattern because Laura, you have my total admiration but also sympathies for finally cracking sleep but getting through for so long!

Emera no idea but I'd defo speak/see Dr hun. Rule out uti but also (not wanting to scare you) but poss ectopic? I don't know much about them but given the circumstances defo spk to someone please :hugs:
Laura - sleep counsellor? Is that the actual Sttn fairy?? Think you should send her up to Lozza next pls!!! X

Lol Waula - this woman was definitely no fairy - more like witch/ogre/giant all rolled into one. BUT she made sense and it's working. I'm pretty certain all health visitors/sure start centres have one assigned to them. I'm so glad I finally sought some help. Xx

Waula, wouldn't an ectopic pregnancy still show as a bfp??

Yep and bleeding I think but it just popped into my head...defo sharp stabby pains... Still testing neg? Could be implantation (of twins to account for pain!). You ok in yourself? X

Ugh. So all good intentions of feeding off both boobs at bedtime feed completely out the friggin window. He can't breathe. So he can't feed. So he fell asleep in a rage of snot and milk. He's only fed twice today, and both of those times were shit. So I'm two feeds behind, engorged to hell and have had to get the pump back out. Boo. :nope:  On a positive he's eaten loads - I think he finds that easier to eat/breathe. But its not helpful to my boobs.

I had a pain very similar to that when I had implantation - extremely painful cramp.

Poor N!! And poor engorged boobs.

Z has just slept through 2 huge firework displays, registered 2 lights on the monitor but not a peep out of him!

Emera - ouch for pains, sorry I've no idea what it could be though :hugs:

I think our HV do have a sleep specialist. Was meant to have his 8. Month check today buy they cancelled it. Flew home this afternoon, he was great on the flights both ways again! Grinned his way round t5 at heathrow making everyone smile. He's had one half an hour nap today? See how that affects tonight!

7oz bottle pumped for DH to do at 10pm. The pump is now RETIRED!!!

Lozza I'm dead impressed with you flying back n forth. Did you come back especially for the check up? I'd defo get a sleep specialist involved...fingers crossed for tonight!!!!! xx

Still negative tests, feeling ok, just crampy. Might pop to the doctors if it happens again.

F is back to screaming and screaming again. Horrible. I don't get it, she's eaten brilliantly, fed brilliantly, was all smiles whilst we were out, but every time its time to sleep we just have hours of screaming. :( I've given her calpol again as she's been screaming pretty much non-stop since 7pm. Depressing :(

oh crap (oops!!) that's not good. Poor you and her. Does Roh sleep through it? N was inconsolable this afternoon - I had to wake him out of the carseat and he would NOT go back to sleep, had to rock him/hum at him/calpol him for 40mins before he gave in and he slept for 2 hours. N is ill though which means all his self-settling goes out the window. He was the same with teeth though, hope its something like that with her and it gets much better really quickly cos its soul destroying knowing they just need to go to flippin sleep. xxx

Waula, t's the same, really chesty and snotty. Screamed his head off in the bath, which he usually loves. Had calpol and then danced about refusing to sleep.

Emera, is she hating the lying down part or any kind of sleep? With your tummy thing, could it be bowel related? Sometimes that can cause unbelievable pain. Definitely see the doctor if it happens more or you're just worried. Still no af from me either.

Ahem, Emera! :hi:

I'm assuming its teething, because otherwise I've no clue what's up. She's finally gone to sleep thankfully. Ah well, hopefully it will pass. And she's not been up too much in the night, so that's a plus (well last night anyway ). We'll see how it goes. I don't remember Roh ever being like this. I guess maybe he was, but I don't remember it. I guess I was still feeding/holding him to sleep still at this point, so maybe that's why I don't remember him being so bad. He almost never cried as a baby though.
Oh, and he slept through F's birth, so yes, he sleeps through the crying too! :haha:

I'm sorry that all out babies are under the weather but I'm also really glad it's not just N being a sickly one. hope they're all better soon. Xxx

Oh no. Lots of sickie babies. :( I guess I have to add P to the list. He came home from daycare today with signs of pinkeye or some type of eye infection. His eye lid is red and a bit puffy and so is the skin below his eye. Plus, the eyelid is a bit gunky. But the eyeball seems clear. Poor little babe. I'm going to take him to the doctor's office tomorrow to confirm/treat. I just hope it doesn't spread to K. I've never dealt with pinkeye. Does it go away quickly?

Oh dear Laura! Didn't want to see you on here at this time in the morning!!! Hope it's you that can't sleep and not the kiddies!!!
