Grrrr, articles like that on cosleeping annoy me so much. Now more people have ammo for why its dangerous. Actually, as Emera says, there are safe and unsafe ways to cosleep.
This is an interesting article, it's aimed at health care professionals to advise women but there is some good stuff in it. https://www.unicef.org.uk/Documents/Baby_Friendly/Guidance/4/bedsharingpolicy.pdf For me, I haven't really done it as much as i thought i would, maybe because i'm not sure that i can secure T in bed yet (I want to get a rail so he can't fall out. But this morning i accidentally fell asleep while feeding him. He was between me and OH which i think isn't safe generally, and i was KNACKERED which is partly why I haven't wanted to do it as i thought i wouldn't respond... but actually at one point OH moved over on the bed towards us and in my sleep i smacked him away. So I guess I do respond! T slept SOOO much better than normal!
Today OH had a meeting in a nice little town so me and T went along and shopped and then met OH for lunch. When we got home his mum had got a team of cleaners in so our house looks lush and clean and lovely. I love it. They'd even put a load of washing on. And she left us cash for us to have the cleaner more regularly. Yaaaaaaaaaaay! If OH isn't going to help with housework then i'm happy for him to pay for a cleaner!
