Matalan or Mataland?

Matalan... I only know 1 person who calls it Mataland & its my DH's cousin who is as thick as 2 short planks so everyone takes the mick out of him & says Mataland when he is around but they know its not called that iyswim? x
 
i say matalan, premark, asda but OH says asdas never heard anyone say mataland!
 
Matalan, but then I don't have cause to say it as I dont shop there at all.
I've started saying 'Premark' as its different.
There were a few people that used to say Waitrose without sounding the T, :)

I didn't think of primark being said any other way until just now :haha:
 
I call it matalan - but my mum and dad both call it mataland and it drives me bonkers!!
 
So is it pronounced premark or prymark?
And as for matalan im odd as I always refered to it a matlans (as in maplans)
 
I generally call places by their proper names, but I must admit I :rofl:ed when someone said they'd been to Bon Marches! They'd obviously never got the gist of how it's pronounced.

Didn't realise how many people on here pronounced Primark WRONG ;)

I hate it when people round say "the asda" but dead fast like its all one word!
