I call it matalan. I call primark, premark, but its how everyone in N.Ireland pronounces it, it is strange hearing it being pronounced prymark.

why is it wrong to say Primark as Premark (phonecially)BTW?
If it was Primark as majority says it is, then surely it would be spelt Prymark?

I hate it when people call it Mataland and my dad and step-mum used to pronounce Ikea as Ee-kia...I soon put a stop to that! haha

I think the only place I call different is Argos...which I sometimes call 'Arr-Goose' (like the old adverts), but only as a joke, not because that's how i think it is

people pronounce wickes wrong here. people call it wicks-ses instead of "wicks"

No, it's okay with the 'i' because it makes the 'i' sound lol

The word "primary" is said "pry-mary" not "Pree-mary" so I say "Pry-mark" not "Pree-mark".
