My love had a CT scan today of his soft tissue/lymph nodes. Depending on the results of this they may be removing the lymph node in his neck. He got more blood testing done yesterday and of course the doctor didn't specify all of the right information so they have to contact the doctor and bring him back in for MORE blood to be drawn for whatever those tests are. Then he goes back to see the specialist on the eleventh. So damn frustrating I can't stand it.

BBW- I agree if you just got a pos. OPK today you can O anywhere from 12-48 hours afterwards, so get to BD'ing!!!

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd I'm sitting here watching Dumbo and crying. I'm emotional over everything all of the time since TTC. Literally everything. Both of my little sisters are graduating this next week and thinking about it made me start crying. Dumbo's mommy is locked in a cage cradling him singing baby mine and i'm bawling. Watching a stupid cheer mom show on tv and a little girl who was horrified of a stunt pulls it off in the tournament and i'm crying. Like seriously, go away emotions. Lol.

Still no test results back about my bladder infection, but hopefully today. If they don't call by 2 pm today I'm calling them.

I already got my MRI scheduled, though, for this Monday, ironically (this Mon was originally my post-op appt before I bumped it up to this last Weds.). Luckily, I am able to go to a location that has an open MRI (the sides of the machine are open) so it's less claustrophobic. I have to bring my own sedatives, though, so I put in a call to my psych doc to ask him how many xanax I should/can take for something like this. I can also bring a cd to listen to music or a book on tape, since my MRI is sched for 2 hrs (!) and I'll be in there at least 1 hr. They are going to look at several areas of the brain, and do one scan without contrast and one with contrast.

STG- feel better! Usually the doc will start you with a VERY small dose of the meds (no matter what they find). This is supposed to help your body ease into the med/side effects. Then monthly they should be taking your blood to monitor it. If it doesn't come down they increase the meds each time until it is where they want it. I was told under 18 makes them happy. However like I said we got preggo at about 26.

Aw, your poor DH! How frustrating, indeed! I hope they finally determine a treatment plan soon!

Thanks, yeah, bladder infections suck. I'm so sore from it already. I don't think I'll be catching an egg this cycle, though, since I feel too bad to BD and FF may be right anyway. But I was prepared to take this cycle off, so I'm not fussed about that, and I'm less worried about the possible early O after searching around the boards and finding at least one or two people had O'd early after surgery. With all I've got going on, having to wonder whether I'll get a bfp or not this cycle is one less thing to worry about. I'll just look forward to trying next cycle. Since we are heading into summer, DH should be feeling better sinus-wise (and me too) which should help with BD frequency, and I'm hoping we will be back to like it was in August, for at least these summer months.

Just thinking about that Dumbo scene is making me well up!

Can I join ya'll? I spent 6 hours reading your ttc forum yesterday during my work hours.. LOL. I am also TTC using an OPK for the first time this month. DH and I were in a terrible car accident in late March and lost our son Jaxon after 12 days in the NICU due to my placenta detaching upon collision.. he was 37 weeks when they performed the emergency cesarean. Cutest little guy I've ever seen! I love him and miss him everyday, and whether its a good idea or not, have begun TTC this month because I want a little peanut so badly and OH how I miss the beautiful one I had!!

Now I know its kind of strange, but I have read most of your posts and Congrats Nikki on your BFP!!!, and Ashlee- I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL my gosh it is the worst feeling in the world losing a little one, it seems so wrong it really does. God will help us through. Anyways, just in need of some good people to get me through this tough time, and it seems as if I've found just the spot!! (Haha I'm just as obsessed with the dreadful process of TTC as you all are!!

AFM, I'll be honest... I am supper worried! My symptoms have subsided. no bleeding, no pains. But my boobs used to feel like they are on fire, well now they just hurt. I used to need a nap EVERY day, an I haven't taken a nap in like 4 days. I was having waves of nausea, and now its just sometimes. So lets just say I'm a bit nervous. I told DH and he said don't worry, if something was wrong it would be VERY obvious ( I think he means pain/bleeding). However I don't think that is always true, but not sure and don't want to look it up with Dr. Google! My next apt and scan is Tuesday. Part of me wants to call the doc today and part of me says stop worrying and you'll hear a nice strong heart beat on Tuesday.

BFN again this morning. I know you're not out until AF says you are but I'm thinking I'm out this month. I really have no symptoms. All 4 of my previous pregnancies, I had something to kinda clue me in... even if it was a faint symptom. It's just frustrating because each time I was pregnant, we BD during my most fertile time and sure enough... it worked. I'm not used to BD during a fertile period and NOT getting pregnant.

I know that sounds ridiculous when so many of you here have been struggling with fertility issues and TTC for a LOT longer than I have but it's just different for me/my body you know? Oh well. It's not the end of the world. I just really only have 1 (maybe 2) more months to go before we have to put a hold on things before the wedding.

Just did an OPK test at work. Did one lastnight, no line, but BAM there it is this morning!!!!!

I don't know why but I'm SO ANXIOUS about getting home to BD because I'm worried about missing the window!!!! Hubby is still really beat up from our accident so that makes it difficult too. Should I relax a little more?! Any advice? I had ovary pain yesterday, should have seen this coming.. do you think i'll miss it this month if I wait until 5?!?! Help lady in distress!! lol

a positive opk means within 12-48 hours you'll ovulate. also, statistically, having sex day-2 and day-1 are better than day 0 (although day 0 is good as well). dont worry, you can wait until tonight. and everything i've read also says that the egg lives 12-24 hours, but it can take a sperm only 30 mins to get to it. so even if you ovulated at noon, sex at 5, you could be pregnant by 6pm.

Welcome Morgan! So sorry about your loss. I'm an ER nurse in a level 1 trauma center. Your situation is one of the ones we dread. Kudos for reading all the posts! Some of us have been in the same group since January, some even before that. My opks do that too, and while most people get a positive opk as a warning that they are about to ovulate, mine tells me it's too late bc I O within hours of it turning positive. I think if you can, BD tonight when you get home. You should be able to catch it but it all depends on your body and how soon you O after your surge.

First acupuncture apt was pretty neat!! Got to relax while looking like a porcupine for a bit! Overall, I liked it though, have another apt next Thrursday, yay! Naturopath also gave me a "Pregnancy Prep" blend that has Vitex and some other herbs in it that she said will help with cycle/hormone regulation...any thoughts?

Morgan, Welcome! I am so sorry for your loss! I have a love/hate relationship with opks for that exact reason, they make me REALLY antsy. As soon as I get the positive, I start to freak out that Im going to miss the egg, etc. Sometimes its nice to be ignorant of that information and not opk! Goodluck trying! Did you have difficulty getting pregnant with your past pregnancy?

Waves, It really could be too early still. I always feel the same way and understand what youre going through completely. I always think along the lines of "If im not getting a pos by 11dpo, then I should just consider myself out" Even though so rarely do people get true positives at anything earlier than 13dpo!

Disney, yay for a good acupuncture visit. I love going, it relaxes me!!

AFM, I am probably 1dpo. Waiting to see OH tonight, just incase I haven't O'd yet and we can have another chance at catching the egg!
