May be getting induced this morning!! What should I expect?

Well basically I had a scan yesterday to check baby's growth and its not where they would like it to be plus my bp was playing up going up and down.. So they kept me in overnight and want to induce me this morning.. What should I expect? I'm 40+1 and first baby x

When I was induced with my girl I got the pessary inserted in the morning. It started period pains straight away, which then turned into contractions. I had my daughter the next day. I found it all go really smooth and am being induced again next week Friday (bp problems) and I'm not scared or anything. Good luck x

I have nothing to add, except to wish you luck! Hopefully your body has done most of the prep work and is ready! As an aside, you ladies in the UK are so lucky that they use a pessary. Here in the US and I think for the most part in Canada, they more often than not go straight to the pitocin drip. Yuck.
