Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

New, I had the blood in Eilidhs nappy twice last weekend and rang her doctor who told me it was probably calcium deposits which oxidise in the nappy, but he'd look at it and do urine test, so we went and he was right. Its apparently pretty common and harmless but always best to get checked:thumbup:

Thanks hun! I spoke to my sister she said something similar. Will mention it to MW tomorrow but not as worried now. need to read and catch up in here now lol

lol new read back and you'll see me going on about it:haha: Its so easy to get worried. You've been missed hun, watch this thread grow now you're here!:hugs:

Brandi, I wouldve loved your stash when I was pumping! Have you thought about donating some? I have about 50oz in the freezer that took forever to get but little miss refuses even an oz in the bottle now so giving up giving it to her (do have docs permission to stop supplementing:happydance:) I feel lucky that I can stay home and bf until she weans without having to pump. Bloody hate the pump:haha: Was very tempting to throw the thing out the window but it belonged to the hospital!

At this point, I know she'll drink it all. I'm glad I have a stockpile because I'm going back on full-time placement in a few weeks and that'll be the only milk available to her. When we go to Florida, though, I won't be able to bring back the milk I pump so I'll be donating that, assuming she's still breastfeeding.

Thats lovely that you would donate, I would in a heartbeat but I'm crap at expressing. I'm probably making you repeat yourself but what ya up to in florida? Great place for hols!

hey everyone! can I get added to the front page?
Daniel born May 10th

hope I'll actually have time to keep up in here! Just trying to juggle feeding myself, sleeping and feeding baby right now!

Welcome on over, Lisa!! How's the little guy doing?

Mummy, DH and I are taking the older two to Disney World for a week in November, courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Anberlin is staying home with my mom. With all the airline rules now, there's no way they'll allow me to bring back a 100-some odd ounce stockpile of frozen breastmilk...and she'd never get through all that anyway, without me going through some serious engorgement.

Speaking of engorgement...the little Miss decided to sleep from 9:00pm until 4:30am, and my breasts are in so much pain from the engorgement. When they're this full, she won't latch. Must get her a bottle of milk, feed her, and then attach myself to my Milk Machine.

Glad you found us Lisa! Hope you guys are settling in well at home?:hugs:

Brandi, thats awesome you get to go there through the make a wish people, man your kids are going to love it there:happydance: Eek at the engorgement, I think Ive only really had that once and was bloody painful:hugs: Watch you dont get mastitis!

I'm sat here at 5am in bed with miss Eilidh laying on me looking at the computer< breakfast done and now she wants to play:dohh: Hubby snoring like a steamtrain next to us lol. We're going to attempt a softplay type place later which could be interesting:wacko: Oh my sons up now.....

Hiya :)

How long does it take for the milk to come in? George is still really content with 4 hourly feeds, but apparently thats alls et to change when my milk kicks in? lol

Usually 2-3 days after birth. Some women take longer. Mine has always come in on day 3 with a vengeance.

Speaking of milk, anyone want some? I managed 23oz in one sitting. I had to empty and store and then go back and finish because my pump can only hold a maximum of 18oz at a time.

omg brandi thats a huge ammount go you! amazing! i never got more than 2 oz  saying that i really do not produce well, hence giving up before trying this time! u could feed all the may babies born so far  :happydance:

New mine comes in anywhere between day 2 and day 4.

Brandi, cant imagine that much milk:wacko:

Wild I cant pump much either, about 2oz like you and dont leak much really and only from one side but managed to feed 3 kids to between 14m and 2 years, god knows where the milk came from

phew Oh is home at 7pmish. Its been a long day:haha: BIL came round with his 3 kids and step son was here too and dont forget Leo so 5 kids in the house  Its reinforced my thought on not having more kids :haha:
Jack has been bored today and not wanting to do anything about it other then wind MIL/FIL up  Theyre going to be so glad on the 23rd when we move out :haha: Im just worrying that Jack is going to play up in the house as its on a 1year lease and if they have any problems with us we could have to leave and Jack has a thing of kicking radiaters and kicking walls and being a pain when he has a tantrum (hes 9 in august so might grow out of it) and if anything breaks or gets lose from banging wed be in trouble for it. His behavious isnt helped due to his mum who doesnt discipline him at all and just sends him here if hes naughty so she doesnt have to deal with it :nope:
Ah well at least Leo is quiet now :haha: OH is picking up a free pc desk I got from freecycle tonight :happydance:

My birth story if anyone would like a read. https://www.babyandbump.com/birth-stories-announcements/613282-samuel-13-05-11-a.html#post10598927 xx

 My boobs are so mean to poor Bethany, she pulled herself off twice earlier and got squirted in the face both times :dohh:

I have decided that catheters are vile, its been 2 weeks now and my poor pee hole is still sore from the catheter they used :(

Oooooowwwwiiiiiieeee wiggler. :hugs: I don't like the sound of that!! :o xx

Its horrible, not as bad as after I had Dylan, probably cos the catheter was only in for a few seconds rather than about 12 hours, but still quite sore, hopefully it'll get better soon :)

Hows Sam today? x x x

I hope so too!! :o

Sam is fab, absolute dream baby after wilds winding tips and only cries at nappy change time. :D

How are Dylan and Bethany? xx

Speaking of sore, I woke up with clogged ducts this morning. Imagine being able to hold and pump 8-10oz out of one side first thing in the morning and only managing to empty 3oz. Pump for almost 2 hours straight with 2 different pumps and use hot showers and compresses and the milk just won't flow. Ouch!

Thankfully, A-N-B-E-R-L-I-N also spells relief.
