24- Your sam is so cute! We had troubles with leaking nappies, we were getting like 4 a day leaking even though we were changing him regularly. He seems to have stopped doing though over the past few days. I don't know if we are putting his nappies on better or he's just weeing less

Wiggler- I dont know how you deal with a 5am wakeup!

So ladies, any tips on how to wake myself up better during the day? I'm like a zombie half the time

he just doesnt seem ok, but i dont know why he is dopey on my shoulder now. he is so tired but appears so uncomfortable, but dont think he looking for milk, though ive no idea any more. im wondering if he got thrush, but cant see anything in his mouth. he got a sore on his thumb that looks inflammed and red but he doesnt seem to be bothered by it. hmmmmm he sucking his fingers surely he cant want feeding again he just done 80 minutes half hour ago!

how can i be sure he is actually getting milk? he just hasnt been satisfied all day literally fed, sleepy, thenback on for another fed. that 10 minutes is the most chunk of sleep all day poor fella. im thinking so many irrational thoughts, wondering if i have eaten enough, if i have eaten the wrong things...

It really does sound like he is going through a growth spurt hun, you will know if he is getting enough by his nappies, lots of pee and poop is a good sign

New, I really think its a growth spurt, you might be in for a day or two of it

Wiggler, my lot get up between 5 and 6am also, but with hubby getting up at around then anyway its not so bad, he watches them till I'm up at 6 15 lol, lie in To stay up, unfortunately not much, if you take caffiene when bfing the LO gets hyper so its a vicious circle, I rely on hard candy lol for a sugar rush! I know how you feel though, I wake with Eilidh at night to bf then have 2 toddlers and from tues a 2nd grader at home all day while hubby at work. You adjust hun and its a million times easier after the newborn stage.

Meow, hows little Joshs growth spurt going? Are you feeling better today?

Talking of sugar, as lunch failed to fill us up past 1pm lol we cracked open a tub of whats called caramel carabu ice cream and its awesome, with a side of the new willy wonka chocolate ( as in the roald dahl book lol)

I've found growth spurts to last around 48 hours and they feed what feels like constantly, on and off side to side. It is normal hun, knackering but normal. As wiggler said, make sure his nappies are wet and dirty and you're good. After the spurt you'll get a good week of him being more settled and feeding less often as you'll have upped your supply

I drink decaff tea and tell myself its full of caffiene in the hopes the placebo affect will hit OH lets me stay in bed til 7am, but once Dylan is awake I can;t sleep cos I am so paranoid about noise (I hate the neighbors for making me like this) Hmm, I might have to try sweets, I haven't tried sugar yet I'm just so glad Bethany is a good, happy, non-crying baby or I think I would lose the plot!

Ewww Willy Wonka choccy is rank! Lol, probably just me, I don't really liek choccy unless its Ben and Jerrys choccy fudge brownie icecream

Also make sure you eat and esp drink a lot of water as you're going to need it

Your neighbours are beyond awful hun The hard sucky sweets work wonders, have a bag next to you for everytime you feed. I love chocolate of all kinds except in ice cream Cookie dough is my favourite.

I think my supply might slowly...very slowly, be coming back. I was getting 2oz out of one breast and 4oz out of the other after 11 hours of not feeding, and since I've been latching her back on more and limiting pumping and bottlefeeding to twice a day, I'm not getting 2oz and 4oz respectively every 4 hours!! Yay! Hopefully my supply keeps building back because she's not going to take 4oz bottles forever and I go back to placement in 3 weeks.

i dont think milo had realized that i'm not pregnant anymore. lol. he keeps looking for my bump! he'll pick up my shirt and look and try smacking my stomach like he used to. today was a really bad day. i think milo is starting to get jealous of her and not getting enough mommy time. he keeps trying to get my attention and acting out.
aside from that, Ava's constipation problem seems to be getting better

Well I got more sleep last night Dylan slept in til 5.50am, which sounds great, but as he didn't fall asleep til 9pm its the same amount of sleep as normal I woke up to find my boobs replaced with 2 bowling balls this morning, I looked like dolly parton So I fed Bethany from one side, pumped from the other and got 3oz from one boob, I would have got more, but my pump is shite and pumping while feeding is more complicated than I thought
