Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Three is lots, and we only have two bedrooms now so would need to move then. :D
No booby milk for Sam today as he has just wanted formula so have just been pumping away when he has been settled. xx

Keep at it hun, you are doing fab! How much can you pump in one session now?

I can do about 2oz, and he takes three, so nearly there, but tbh just what have achieved already is more than I could have hoped, and he had a few days of cholostrum and now a few days of the actual milk, so even if he decided he doesn't want it anymore, I feel happy he atleast had some. xx

Thats great!

I need to strat pumping more, I wantr to start getting out more and so need a nice stash :)

I only have the tt manual pump and it only takes five minutes or so now. xx

I have that pump too, I can't wait to get an electric one though, no more achey arms :haha:

I have just realised I have no idea when Bethany is being weighed again :haha: I'll probably ask the HV when she rings me in a few weeks

You might have more milk than you are pumping. I can never get out all the milk even with a fancy electric pump. I've got a days worth of milk for when I go back to work, woo. I need to get as big of a stash as possible while hubby is home to help watch the kids.

Oh 24 you are getting up quite a supply there nice one hun :) i cant open the photos, are they on your profile?

When do you have to go back to work Lucky? Hope its not too soon!

and you are all crazy for thinking about next babies lol

My friend has been told by her HV she has thrush in the breast, but she has only been prescribed a cream for the nipple (useless as thats just a symptom easer not a treatment) and as her thrush isnt on her nipple its merely a preventative. she just rang me to ask what treatment my HV gave (we have different ones) and she is so upset she hasnt got any medication and is talking about giving up putting her son on formula :( I feel so bad for her because I know how quickly the pain went away with treatment, but i also know how much pain she is in and how desperate I was in her situation to give in to formula. Ive suggested she speak to the out of hours doctors but I feel so bad and dont know what else to suggest :(

On FB search Paula Restrick photography and you should see us!! xx

new - suggesting she sees a doctor is great advice, get her to ask for the meds you was on, I hate hearing about useless HV's but unfortunately they seem all too common :( I've had quite a few.

I'm so lucky to finally have an OK HV, she's a bit dippy and annoying, but she actually cares which is lovely, she doesn't ram advice down my throat and even though she is VERY aware of my previous medical history she doesn't bombard me with questions about it and she doesn't use everything I say as an excuse to get SS or the doctors in like some of my previous HVs.

new - we aren't crazy, come on, you must admit that the thought of Joshua and George having a baby sister is lovely :)

Glad you're comfortable with your HV. Mine was ok, not as nice as the one I had with Joshua, but she certainly appeared to be the type of HV i could go to if I needed anything :) ive given my friend the medication name i was on and the advice she gave me for taking it, i cant really do anything more. she asked me if I had any spare to give her, but I dont want to shorten my dose incase it comes back. i know she can buy the first tablet I had over the counter, but the 14 day ones I think are prescription only!

and a baby sister, ermmmm actually you know Im very content with just my boys. I definitley dont invisage 3 little munchkins here. 4 weeks and i can ask my GP about a sterilisation referral lol

Aww bless her, I hope she can get the right treatment.

I can't beleive I'm finding being a mummy of 2 easier than being a mummy of one...

Im surprised how well Ive juggled the 2 of them, Joshua hasnt been late for school or his activities, George only had to wait once for a feed lol House is still standing and tidy pmsl

tidy? Whats that? I must admit I have let that slide a bit, my pelvis is so sore still, nowhere near as bad as just before Bethany arrived, but still to the point where I get really sore very fast. Thats why I am on a mission to get as fit as possible before I start TTC again. The mess is doing my head in!! ARGH!! :haha:

:haha: I really do! If my pelvis wasn't so screwed and I was better with money now we would be trying again very soon.

Hows Anberlin? And are you coping ok with your FIL being there still?

Anberlin's good, and the nipple cream I got seems to be clearing up the thrush I had. Looks like after 3 long weeks, breastfeeding might finally be going the right way. As for coping with the FIL, that's another story...

I'm glad the cream is helping, I hope the next month until FIL leaves flies by hun :hugs:

BTW ladies, I decided to get some cheapie Tesco breast pads earlier, £2.50 for 80 and they are fab, they are soft, nice and padded and have an adheisive strip on the back, so amazing value for money.

Are they keeping Ol' Faithful at bay? lol

Today FIL made Isaiah have his first accident since March. He wanted to have a bath and wouldn't let Isaiah into the bathroom to use the potty because he was "already naked" and "The boy can wait"....45 minutes later, he finally emerged from the bathroom, only after Isaiah peed himself at the bathroom door and FIL flipped because a 2 year old wasn't able to hold his bladder.
