Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

wiggler you need your 6 week check, but Bethany should have had an 8 week check with doctor & HV weighed measured etc etc chase your appts up hun xxx

Brandi hope all goes well today hun :hugs:

Mummy hope Elidh has gained well hun thinking of you also :hugs:

Brandi- Hope all goes well!

Wiggler- Can you not move into a private rent place rather than through the council?

24- I did what you're doing with Sam. I just tried putting him down one night and he grizzled a bit and then went to sleep. If he's grizzling i leave him to it but if he's crying then i pick him up. He goes to sleep on his own most of the time at night now.

Josh slept 7:30pm until 5:15am! He's sleeping roughly 8-10 hours a night now :) Getting the hang of this bedtime routine as well and he's settling himself to sleep at night! He needs rocking and his dummy in the day though.

Although he is a bit grumpy at the minute as we are on day number 4 without a poo! Been giving him water which hasn't worked and now trying water with brown sugar in it (as recommended by the hv) and still nothing. Not looking forward to the explosion when he finally does go :haha:

new - I did try to book it but they said it would arrive through the post, I'll chase it up next week if it isn't here by then. If its anything like the 6 week check up (its a mum and baby combined checkup) after Dylan then it will just be answering a few questions then a quick check of Bethanys hips, literally 2 mins in and out.

I really should get dressed, just got a phone call from my mum, she will be here soon :haha:

Mine did come through the post, but its same day as the injections they book the appts together.

Meow thats great with the sleeping hun! george settles himself now most times too, so much easier huh! i still cant get him to nap for long in the day though, maybe he doesnt need it, he doesnt wake up grizzly, but he only has about 30-40 minutes in every 3-4 hours. I dont know if this is because he doesnt like the moses basket or not, but he goes in it awake, goes to sleep and looks really rested. Like Josh he needs a dummy in the day time, but doesnt take it at night time.

Hope Josh poops soon, thats going to be some explosion!

Sam needs rocking and a dummy in the day too, but is fine at night and only had a couple of 30 min naps and possibly a two hour one in the afternoon. We are currently under the duvet on the sofa and Sam is asleep - Had a funny stomach last night and feeling abit off today still. xx

Wow you arew amazingly pretty wild! awesome the sun made your hair so sun-kissed!

George has been contently awake today while we got loads of shopping done, but then SCREAMED his head off in Next when I tried some shirts on him  Got loads done though, and some awesome bargins in Debenhams, and they have a toy sale on so got both boys some stuff for Christmas! Well impressed lol Still need a shirt for Sunday though, the 3-6 month trousers from next fit like a dream, but the shirts look big. Ive bought the trousers in the hope of finding a suitable shirt on line otherwise will have to take them back and get a dungaree set or something instead.

back from the EI eval. he of course qualifies for speech therapy. but saw no concern for ASD. i'm not sure whether or not i should be happy about it (or should i say accepting of it). milo acted NOTHING like he typically would. and videos arent "enough to go by." i've been chatting with other moms of children with ASD and they saw the videos i have and felt comfortable with my concern for ASD.

they marked him delayed in receptive & expressive communication, personal-social and cognitive.

they're gonna call to set things up.

have tried for over a week to take a picture of him smiling, today however Luca has been posing for me :cloud9:

Aww!! What a gorgeous grin!!!

Well after being awake and happy for 11 1/2 hours I finally got bethany to sleep, and in my room too! I miss her though and just want to bring her back into the lounge :haha:

How cute Wild!

Wiggler, I'm the same way. When he's awake and fussy I wonder if he'll ever sleep again and when he's sleeping I just want to get him up and cuddle. :dohh:

Milos, sorry it didn't go as expected.

i figured i'd wait until his 2nd birthday and see if i think he's progressed or some of the ASD traits have faded or anything. personally i felt like the videos i had wouldve been enough "evidence" for them to atleast look into it.
they wrote that he "looks when names called", yet when the one lady was calling his name he ignored her for the longest time. he was so excited with all the toys he was looking all over and at everyone because they were new faces.

the biggest thing for me is when i heard they didnt see a concern for ASD, it made me feel like my motherly instict is wrong and i have no idea what i'm talking about. maybe i'm just hormonal cause i started AF yesterday. but i wanted to cry the entire way home because i felt like an idiot. even the service worker who did his mini-eval at home (she was there today) said he didnt act anything like this when she was at our house.
hopefully they'll change their minds in the future after getting to know him.
they said the speech therapist will come out every 3 months to check on his progress. and some other lady (cant remember her title) will come out to help with his cognitive. but i dont remember if they said how often she'll be coming out. i think once a week.

sorry for a vent. lol.

Well ladies, I have the ultrasound verdict.

Keep up with your birth control.

There is no baby. :happydance:

They said I have to follow up with the OB tomorrow though, so I assume the cyst is back...or there's something left over. We'll see what happens

wild- cute pictures! i've been trying to get a video of Ava cooing, but everytime i get the camera out she starts crying and wants me to pick her up. lol
