Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

:hugs: ladies. Everyone comes with history and no one should be prejudged on it, how rude are some of the people you've both come across, and to question your parenting skills grrrrrr

Hopeful your little man is gorgeous!!

George is sleeping soundly on my dad right now, sun is gorgeous I want to go out, but these are all going home soon and dont want to go off anywhere :( Only an hour or so until injections, hope George is as brave as Sam!

Joshua had a lovely day yesterday. Weather was amazing, so after mass we went to the harbour enjoyed some drinks before walking to a local restaurant for dinner (we chose this over a nicer restaurant as the men were enjoying beers in the sun and my mum wont drive round here lol).

Walk is cancelled, I tripped and fell over one of Dylans toys and my pelvis is killing me, I'm gutted, I really wanted to get out :( Going to rest for the rest of the day and fingers crossed it'll feel better tomorrow, I was thinking of meeting OH on his way home from work then going to the park, then the chippy on the way home :)

Just fed Bethany and she is now in her rocker farting away, so ladylike. lol.

Aww some horrible times for u ladies :(
Lovely pics of little man Hopeful!
Glad he had a great day New!

He he Livi is playing in her baby gym & she just le out an unusual cry look over to find her pulling her own hair lol & it was obviously painful for her :D

Oh no, hope your ok! Damm those toys huh wait till he has lego! lol

George is just feeding before we go for his injections! he is sleeping loads today, making up for yesterday lol Was too busy for him yesterday barely slept a wink bless him.

I can't wait for him to have Lego, he won't get a chance to play with it, me and OH will be playing with it.

OMG, just over 3 1/2 months til Dylan is 3. That is TERRIFYING!! Where has the time gone, he is getting so big! His speech is amazing now, he uses little sentences a lot which is a major improvement, and he is a lot easier to understand, I'm so proud of him. We rarely have to feed him now too, he will do it himself unless its something sloppy, like curry or bolognese etc etc and I never thought I would say this after all the problems we had, but he NEVER stops eating. lol, he is super slim though so I don't mind :)

Wud, Luke pulls his hair and cries too. Lol.

Wiggler, ouch! Hope it gets better with rest.

New, sounds like yesterday was a nice day.

Ladies:hugs: Life cn be cruel, hope you all feel better soon

Wiggler, sorry about your pelvis :( Tomorrow sounds like a great plan.

New, aww injections suck, hope george was brave and his mummy too:hugs: Hows his growth now hun, I know you were having a few worrys too.

Those that give bottles how much do your babies take and how often? Eilidh is taking around 2oz every 4 hours and a breastfeed in between. Also those who pum how much do you get? I have a hospital electric pump and get about 3oz every 4 hours, with a breastfeed between, is this decent?

So we got the huge play area in the house but so far the kids are still way more interested in whinging at me at the opposite end of the house from the toy:dohh::haha:

Wud, ouchy, Tell Livi her hair is not the toy!

So I have a new thing called where in the world is Sebastien, so i am taking pics of everywhere we have gone the last 2 days, going to become a new album.. here are 2 photos so far, and don't worry he was only directly in the sun like that for less than a minute. I think it's a cute idea, plus its always pics of his feet or stroller, not directly of him, maybe i just have too much time on my hands?

Lovely idea hopeful :)

Mummy Im not sure about volume Im still not pumping but George feeds for 20 minutes every 3 hours if that at all helps??

He has gained 9 ounces in 10 days, still following his line, not gone up any. The Dr on his 8 week check said he is long and thin and so long as he didnt keep dropping off his line every few weeks then its ok, atm his chart looks like a staircase with the regular drops but Im not worried. He was 60cm long (23.75") Ive not checked that on a centile chart but he has slowed down on the growth there too lol

George is so upset from his injections. he was fine until about 4 hours after them then just screamed and screamed. he's calm now but feels very warm, although my themometer says he hasnt got a fever, Im not convinced Ive been thinking for a while its not working now Im sure, it said he was 34.7 hmmmmmm Ive given him some paracetamol and he is settled hopefully he'll be ok the rest of the night xxx

R hope George isn't out of sorts from his jabs :(
I need to get a decent thermometer i want an ear one!
Cripes Livi must be long if she's more than George :O

Erm mummy Livi takes all different amounts at all different times lol i'd say 3-5 ounces every 1-4 hours ha ha x

I have an ear one but its not working arghhhh Ive seen a cool one that you put on the forehead, press the button and it gives a digital reading, mush easier with a baby lol

George is much cooler now and sleeping, although just lightly. The paracetamol must be kicking in :)

Another milestone when they're big enough for calpol :(
I phoned the dr's up about Livi's injections today as i still haven't heard anything about them & they just said to waot as the invites don't come from them & contact the hv if i still don't hear? x

I'd ring the HV hun just check. George received his appt ages ago xxx

Did I read your thermometer read 34.7 new? Thats awful low, should be around 36.5? He does sound long and lanky bless him, glad he's not dropping anymore, its scary when they do that. I was looking at my sons red book from when he was 8 weeks old he was almost 13lb and 23in:shock: he was more round lol.

Thanks wud. It seems Eilidh is taking a lot of milk then, I know by pumping that she's taking at least 2 oz every 2 hours then and she's often topping up the bottle with another breastfeed after and she has the high cal formula to add to the ebm so I have come to the conclusion her failure to thrive is down to hollow legs:shrug:

My laptop is being crap, it isnt charging at all so have about an hour and its going to be dead, will have to go out and buy a new one:dohh:

My poor Sam cried all afternoon, like George it started about four hours later. :( xx

WHAT?! Tylenol at their age?! We're not allowed to give it until at least 3 months of age!

Aww I hope all the unjhappy bubs feel better soon :hugs:

Going to bed soon, I really need to get into the habit of going to bed before midnight. Its been between 1-2am recently :dohh: x x x

Awe, poor babies! Hope they feel better tomorrow.

Brandi, it's crazy how different the recommendations are depending on where you live. I wonder what the Tylenol recommendation is in the US? I haven't needed to worry about that yet so haven't asked the dr.

They give tylenol here in the US... they just dose it based on size and its formulated for infants. They gave Daniel some at the doctor's office before his shots and gave me instructions on what to give him at home if he needed it.
Daniel was 23 inches at his 6week check :) I want to know how tall he is now... he weighed in the other day at 14.5lbs! He's got a few rolls on his legs and arms, but he's not a chubby baby really :)

Mummy - hmmm, I'd have to agree with you on the hollow leg, lol!
I get 4 ounces every 2 hours or so when I pump exclusively. Daniel drinks 4 ounces every feeding. When we BF he does 10 minutes on each side. He tends to feed every 2 hours for part of the day, then every 3-4 hours otherwise... he feeds 5-6 times a day... sleeping a long time without feeding at night.
