After reading and researching for hours and hours, I've decided to pre-make formula and store in the fridge. So I did this and took it out of the fridge to get to room temperature but when I took the lid off, it smelt really metallic so I didn't give it to LO. Is it normal to smell like that? I'm using Cow & Gate.

I use cow and gate too and keep them in the fridge until needed. I've not noticed any metallicy sort of smells but I do microwave them as soon as they come out the fridge x

I think you are probably just smelling the iron. After it is mixed and let sit, the iron smell can be a bit stronger. It's similar to the smell of a bottle of multi vitamins, especially when newly opened.

I LOVE that smell you get from new tubs of vitamins!! x
