im 31 and have 4 children
my first was naturally conceived after 3 years of trying we saw a specialist who gave me clomid after discovering pcos but af didnt arrive that month we were pregnant
my second and third were conceived again naturally 1 and 2 years later my pcos had been helped by the fact id had a baby
after 3 i decided i had enough and had the depo injection for 3 years we then decided another would be nice but rather than trying to hard we started ntnp
6 years later and nothing was happenning my cycle was between 3 and 11 months long and af turned up as and when it felt like it...even though i wasnt trying as such i wanted to get my cycle back on track to have the choice iykwim
i went to the gp and had an ultrasound he told me my pcos was a lot worse than when i was younger ...also it had caused me to gain a lot of weight
he then perscribed metformin(which my dad was on for diabetes) although it made me feel a little sick i carried on taking it and 3 months later i started feeling tired and more sick...i was 8 weeks pregnant!!! id not had af so i didnt have a clue but the metformin obviously did something...id also lost 2 stone on the tablets
